CompanyOverview:Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Motor Grader Operatorwith successful and progressive experience in performing safe andtechnically proficient operation of equipmentassigned.

Werecruit highly skilled individuals for a variety of disciplines inthe construction field. A skilled craft worker is an essential cogin the wheel of any construction project. Your role within thecompany will include participation in site safety, protection ofthe environment, and construction of exciting and challengingprojects.

Dependingon your goals, the supervisor will provide you the ability to learnadditional skills and advancement, through on-the-job training andexternal educationoutlets.

EssentialFunctions

• Operateheavy equipment in compliance with the companys operating safetypolicies andprocedures
  
• Loadand unload equipment from vehicles andtrailers
  
• Ensurecompany equipment and material is maintained, kept cleaned, andstored in a safemanner
  
• Checkfilters and greaseequipment
  
• Observedistribution of paving material to adjust machine settings ormaterial flow and indicate low spots for workers to addmaterial.
  
• Keepwork area and equipment clean by collecting and disposing of scrapand excessmaterials.
  
• Proactivelycommunicate with foreman, superintendent, andcoworkers
  
• Properlyfollow all company policies and OSHA regulations for safe workingprocedures andenvironment.
  
• Completeequipment condition reports, as well as a daily checklist of workto be done on your equipment and provide to the ProjectSuperintendentdaily
  
• Cleaningthe machinesregularly.Thisincludes sweeping the cabs and removing trash daily, cleaning theinterior weekly, and lubricating doors and windowsbi-weekly
  
• Understandand comply with all Company safety policies andprocedures.Knowwhere all utilities within the work zone arelocated.Beresponsible for your own safety as well as those working in thearea
  
• Informyour Superintendent or Foreman daily of your equipment fuel statusso the fuel truck can be scheduled if needed for the nextmorning
  
• Makea note on your equipment report and let your Superintendent know ifyou need any supplies, i.e.: grease, oil, rags, cleaning supplies,or if the machine needs to be steam cleaned

WorkEnvironment

Thisis a field based role. Employee will be working on heavy civil andhighway construction sites. The noise level in the work environmentand job sites can be loud. The position regularly works near movingmechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclementweather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust andasphalt.

PhysicalDemands

Theposition lifts heavy objects, walks and stands for long periods oftime and performs physical labor under adverse field conditions.The employee lifts, pushes, pulls or carries objects and usesabdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over timewithout fatigue. The position requires good manual dexterity (hand,hand with arm, two hands) and multilimbed coordination. Theemployee must have excellentstamina.

PositionType /Expected Hours ofWork

Thisis a full-time position. This position will occasionally requirelong hours and weekend work. Average minimum of 50 hours perweek.
