Job Summary

We are seeking a Building Life Safety Plans Examiner tojoin the This Company Loss Prevention organization (LP) which isthe corporate safety organization within This Company. We provideboth daytoday infield occupational and process safety support toThis Company operations as well as centralized technical supportand consulting function. Our field offices are located in AbqaiqRiyadh Ras Tanura Dhahran Udhailiyah Jeddah (including Yanbu andJazan) and Tanajib. Through these offices LP provides its servicesto all This Company facilities and departments that are locatedthroughout the Kingdom.

The Building Life SafetyPlans Examiners (Loss Prevention Engineer) primary role is to workwith planning design and construction organizations to ensurebuildings and safety systems are constructed according to theInternational Code Council (ICC) model code regulations as adoptedand modified by This Company and the Kingdom of SaudiArabia.

Responsibilities:

• Support This Company departments andorganizations in implementing required fire and life safetyregulations.
• Conduct field inspections of newbuildings under construction and assess existing buildingconditions.
• Provide clear reportscommunicating safety concerns and develop practical andcosteffective corrective actions.
• Participatein various safety studies and activities including fire testsincident investigations compliance reviews and insurance surveysevaluating risks and potential consequences.
• Develop and/or review corporate safety standardsinstructions and procedures related to safe building operations andformalize them into companydocumented practices asnecessary.
• Review designs for new buildingconstruction additions alterations or changes of occupancy forcompliance with ICC company and industry safety standards such asNFPA ASME ASTM ANSI and UL.
• Participate inincident investigations as required and prepare safety improvementrecommendations.

Requirements:

• Hold a Bachelor ofScience degree in any engineering (or architectural) disciplinerelated to building and fire safety.
• Possessten years of relevant experience in plan review and inspectionincluding areas such as:
  • Plan review ofbuilding and fire safety accessibility mechanical electrical andfire protection and alarm plans calculations andspecifications.
  • Required field inspections ofrough final and special construction.
  • Evaluation of materials for compliance with ICCrequirements.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills in Englishcapable of effectively communicating with peers andmanagement.
• Able to produce clear and conciseoral and written reports in English.
