    :

    Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Project Engineering Specialist – Civil to join our team Provides professional engineering discipline support to the program projects with particular emphasis on promoting and maintaining the technical adequacy, uniformity, and quality of the project designs in conformance with approved standards and codes. Provides guidance to peers.

    What You'll Be Doing:

  • Provides technical guidance to personnel within the Section.
  • Provides technical advice to other RC and SAPL Departments.
  • Represents the Section at the project and inter-sectional meetings, as appropriate.
  • Prepares/Reviews Requests for Proposal (RFP) documents with design concepts.
  • Provides technical assistance during pre-bid conferences, proposal evaluations, and post-award or other contract conferences.
  • Reviews A/E contractor design drawings, specifications, and calculations submittals and coordinates with the work of other disciplines.
  • Prepares written summary of review comments in Engineering Review Comments (ERC) sheets.
  • Reviews vendor/ shop drawings, and construction materials submittals.
  • Performs field inspections and provides professional field support as necessary during construction phases.
  • Prepares interface layouts and conflict solutions.
  • Prepares / Reviews man-hour estimates for design fee proposals.
  • Prepares technical correspondence, reports, and studies

    • What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with 5 years. Design experience in general civil works is essential.
  • Professional registration in the appropriate discipline is desirable.
  • The ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written English is essential.

    • What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • A proven record of technical and administrative ability in design management.
  • Must be knowledgeable about the standards of civil work.
  • Conversant and has working knowledge of Industry Standard software in CE design.
