Purchasing Operations Manager
Key Activities :
Leadership and Strategic Key Accountabilities
• Contribute to the development of Supply Chain business plan and develop operational plan of the Purchasing Operations Function according to set objectives.
• Develop Purchasing Operations key performance indicators and continuously monitor progress towards operational plan.
• Implement Purchasing Operations Function's framework, methodologies, techniques and principles.
• Ensure that Purchasing Operations Function operational plan is well communicated and understood at all levels.
• Optimize resources and ensure team is efficient and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Develop budget requirements for Purchasing Function operations ensuring alignment to plans and needs.
• Develop procedures ensuring all actions are conducted in a systematic manner.
• Take operational decisions and escalate key decisions to senior management when required.
Key Functional Accountabilities:
• Set the value of requirement and cost in case item is not listed in catalogue.
• Approve required items not listed in procurement plan and assign sourcing type in line with defined criteria.
• Ensure detailed gathering of information about technical scope for request for proposal (RFP) or request for quotation (RFQ)
• Approve the RFQ or RFP including all needed technical and administrative details.
• Manage the development of technical and financial evaluation dimensions and framework for RFPs.
• Approve the tender package.
Knowledge and Experience
• A minimum of 8 years of experience with at least 2 years of experience in a managerial role
Education and Certifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or in any related field
