- Lead the design, evaluation, development and field testing of the Anderreamer and FAST-R products.
- Monitor the assembly, disassembly and field run performance of all BHE tools.
- Assist in NCR assessment and subsequent dispositions. Support ITrax and Service Report systems
- Provide technical guidance for the repair and maintenance of operational equipment
- Carry out all tasks in accordance with the Engineering groups policies and quality procedures.
- Monitor BHE tool performance. Identify drilling trends and implement optimization practices
- Create and manage drill bit product development and testing strategies that contributes to market share growth.
- Remain aware and involved in the latest developments within the industry and the greater engineering world to identify any potential concepts that could be incorporated into new BHE tool designs
- Interact with personnel in other departments and disciplines.
- Chair client meetings and monitor individual's performance to ensure customer care is at the foremost position

- HND Engineering or equivalent
- BSc in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent oilfield major
- Proven track record of designing, manufacture and operation of borehole enlargement equipment.
- Proven track record of developing, assembling and testing BHE tools.
- Proven track record of project management from conceptual phase to commercialization
- 8 to 15 years BHE experience
- Computer literacy (including good command of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook)

Job Summary:
In the role of Product Development Engineer, you will be responsible for the provision of engineering support for Regional Service, Operations and Design Engineering and field testing of all borehole enlargement tools and equipment. This will include continuous development of the Anderreamer and FASTR products through design, assembly, and service quality assessments.
