- Manage and oversee the entire accounting team.
- Conduct necessary training to keep the team's skills and knowledge up to date.
- Ensure proper tax interviews with clients and collect necessary documents.
- Review corporate and personal income tax returns to ensure accuracy.
- Advise business owners and individuals regarding the tax code.
- Oversee the processing of state and federal payroll taxes.
- Nurture and build client relationships.
- Monitor and mentor/train junior staff, clerks, and bookkeepers.
- Address potential compliance issues proactively.
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations.
- Uphold the excellent reputation of our firm.
- Maintain constant communication with the IRS, state agencies, and clients.
- Implement tax consults and onboarding procedures for new clients.
- Keep highly organized and updated client files.
- Work collaboratively with other teams to achieve shared goals.
- Report directly to the Operations Manager.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a relevant field
- Must possess a SOCPA certificate
- Quickbooks/Zohobooks ProAdvisor certification required
- Minimum 5 years experience in management
- Minimum 2 years experience as a CPA in a corporate setting
- Extensive corporate and personal tax experience
- Exceptional computer skills, including Microsoft Office and databases
- Expertise working with Quickbooks/Zohobooks and financial statements
- Consistent, accurate, and thorough, with an eye for details
- Outstanding communication skills, written and verbal
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Outstanding phone and email etiquette
- Able to thrive in a deadline-driven environment
- Able to motivate the team and lead by example
