• Manage and oversee the entire accounting team.
• Conduct necessary training to keep the team's skills and knowledge up to date.
• Ensure proper tax interviews with clients and collect necessary documents.
• Review corporate and personal income tax returns to ensure accuracy.
• Advise business owners and individuals regarding the tax code.
• Oversee the processing of state and federal payroll taxes.
• Nurture and build client relationships.
• Monitor and mentor/train junior staff, clerks, and bookkeepers.
• Address potential compliance issues proactively.
• Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations.
• Uphold the excellent reputation of our firm.
• Maintain constant communication with the IRS, state agencies, and clients.
• Implement tax consults and onboarding procedures for new clients.
• Keep highly organized and updated client files.
• Work collaboratively with other teams to achieve shared goals.
• Report directly to the Operations Manager.
  
  

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a relevant field
• Must possess a SOCPA certificate
• Quickbooks/Zohobooks ProAdvisor certification required
• Minimum 5 years experience in management
• Minimum 2 years experience as a CPA in a corporate setting
• Extensive corporate and personal tax experience
• Exceptional computer skills, including Microsoft Office and databases
• Expertise working with Quickbooks/Zohobooks and financial statements
• Consistent, accurate, and thorough, with an eye for details
• Outstanding communication skills, written and verbal
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Outstanding phone and email etiquette
• Able to thrive in a deadline-driven environment
• Able to motivate the team and lead by example
