    On behalf of my client, we are looking for a Director of Consumer Business Insights to join their team in Riyadh.

    Job Summary

    To identify and prioritize business opportunities for a profitable growth, ensure that the Company's business strategies are grounded in appropriate consumer and business insights and foresights to balance risk and rewards.

    This position also serves as a strategic thought partner and key consultant for management to identify and prioritize business opportunities for a profitable growth

    Responsibilities

    Strategy & Business Planning Input

    • Prepare the annual plan and budget for the department in accordance with business goals and strategic objectives.
    • Participate in the development of business and strategic plans by leading the delivery of objective consumer and business insights and emerging trends that shape priorities.

    · Build deeper understanding of significant business performance and opportunities based on research insights and align business plans.

    · Responsible for assessing business performance results and identify "what is working/what is not working" from a consumer standpoint and provides key insights to help direct company's business performance.

    · Based upon relevant data, provide clear direction regarding strengths and weaknesses of the brand and define key threats and challenges.

    · Anticipate research requirements and develop and communicate longer–term plans and processes to best meet information needs

    Consumer and Business Insights

    · Develop innovative research techniques and systems which predict or measure causes of sales progress, identify sales and profit building opportunities as well as enable better understanding of customer needs and expectations now and in the future,

    · Deliver fact based overall business performance and business trend insights and provide recommendations for adjustments to maximize business potential.

    · Identify and develop sales and profit building initiatives, sales forecasting and business cases.

    · Utilize identified research tools to better understand consumer/ market/ trends in the market.

    · Consult with relevant departments regarding research design based upon experience in qualitative, quantitative and analytical tools.

    · Oversee testing, validation and delivery of key measurements on company initiatives.

    • Identify research needs, develop briefs and work with concerned parties (internal & external) to determine optimal scope and methodology to ensure quality results.
    • Manage and direct the analytical studies of the external and the internal environments; organizations resource analysis, and determine the indicators that may impact The company's operations and future plans.

    · Contribute in defining and improving The company's brand offerings by understanding customer buying preference through market analysis and specialized surveys.

    · Responsible for the consumer and business insight budget

    Communication and Reporting

    · Monitors and reports overall business performance as well as progress of key success criteria as well as competitor activity.

    · Responsible for periodic Sales and GC ́s updates including clear analysis/theories as to changes and for actual business forecasting.

    · Presents Business Reviews to management.

    People Management

    • Generate commitment, motivation and enthusiasm for Marketing & Research Department and The company's as a whole
    • Provide clear direction, prioritize tasks, assign and delegate responsibility and monitor the workflow of the Department

    · Trains, coaches, and supports the consumer business intelligence team

    • Manage and review individual performance and provide regular feedback, development opportunities and coaching, taking prompt action where necessary
    • Provide opportunities to Department members to suggest, participate in and contribute to improvement, innovation and knowledge sharing initiatives
    • Ensure Consumer& Business Insights Department complies with The company's policies, processes, practices and systems, and maintain The company's high standard of work and work ethic


    Requirements

    Requirements

    · Language Skills: Fluent in Arabic and English (written and spoken)

    · 10 years of related experience including 3 years in similar executive position

    · Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Statistical or equivalent (Master degree is preferred)

    · Strategic thinking; Ability to anticipate market trends and provide forward-looking insights for strategic decision-making

    · Business Insight: Ability to analyze complex data and extract actionable insights that drive business transformation.

    · Simplifying Complex Data: Proficient in simplifying complex data and presenting it in a clear and understandable manner.

    · Consumer Behavior Expertise: Ability to analyze and interpret consumer data to gain actionable insights.

    · Leadership: Ability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve common goals and objectives.
