An MDM Officer is responsible for coordinating, implementing, and maintaining the Master Data Management strategy and processes of an organization.

The MDM Officer works to establish data governance practices, data quality standards, and data stewardship responsibilities to enhance the overall integrity and usability of master data.

• Develop and implement a Master Data Management strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
• Collaborate with data stewards, business units, and IT teams to define and maintain master data standards and definitions.
• Establish and enforce data governance policies, procedures, and best practices for master data.
• Lead efforts to identify, resolve, and prevent data quality issues within master data.
• Design and oversee data integration processes to ensure consistent master data across different systems and platforms.
• Work with business analysts and data architects to define data models and structures for master data entities.
• Collaborate with data owners and stakeholders to establish data ownership and stewardship responsibilities.
• Monitor and report on the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of master data.
• Implement and manage MDM technologies and tools to support data governance and stewardship activities.
• Provide training and guidance to employees on MDM principles and processes.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's preferred).
• Strong understanding of Master Data Management concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
• Proficiency in data modeling, data integration, and data quality principles.
• Experience with MDM tools and technologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and consistency.
• Effective communication skills to work with cross-functional teams and convey MDM principles.
• Ability to manage data governance initiatives and drive data stewardship activities.
• Knowledge of data privacy regulations and compliance is advantageous.
