    Position description

    We are seeking two mechanical engineers to join the Engineering Division and working as Industrial Facilities Inspector of Inspection Unit.

    The Engineering Division is responsible for providing field services for operating organizations in order to manage all operational activities by providing advices and consultations to assist and maintain safe and reliable working environments

    The Industrial Facilities Inspector primary role is to survey the facilities and identifying all concerned items and finding. Developing Defect Notifications in accordance with Saudi Aramco procedures and standards.

    In addition, the incumbent may receive specialized training in advanced inspection techniques and or processes in other field in order to meet critical needs of the Department. Typical work responsibilities involve either performing or overseeing the performance of onsite inspections of new construction or operating plants, monitoring vendor, factory performance test recording and/or reviewing the result of tests and preparing or reviewing sheets, records and reports on inspection assignments. In addition, he will be train lesser qualifies inspection personnel and maybe required to present training sessions to group of personnel in his organization. The assign work may require physical exertion such as climbing. Being primary outdoor exposing to dirt's and could travel to remote areas or offshore. He will report to applicable supervisor and he will be able to provide work directions and technical guidance to lower classified inspectors.

    Responsibilities

    You will be required to perform the following:
    • Conducting mechanical field survey
    • By stationed away from Jeddah, the candidate may cover some civil and electrical tasks
    • Developing Defect Notification
    • Conducting road crossing survey
    • Conducting mothballing and abandon in place equipment checklist
    • Review design and design packages
    • Trains personnel to develop technical ability and understanding of applicable codes, standards, inspection methods in various disciplines and NDT methods. Trains personnel in the proper use of new or existing inspection equipment tools, techniques, methods and standards and acts as mentor.
    • Monitors nondestructive testing examination results to determine defects, corrosion, mechanic damage, or blockages and makes recommendations for repairs or replacement as required.
    • Performs or monitors all types of equipment inspection including that which requires the use of calipers, micrometers, infrared camera, borescopes, pit gages, etc. to assure continued safe operation.
    • Performs or monitors all necessary inspections for the installation of hot tap, weld plus ends repair sleeves, or any welding that is required on piping or equipment while in service.
    Education & Experience Requirements

    As the successful candidate he will hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized and approved program. He has to have two or more of the following certificates:
    • API 570-Certificated Piping Inspector
    • API 510-Certificated Pressure Vessel Inspector
    • API 653- Certificated Above Ground Storage Tanks
    • CSWIP, Certified Welding Inspector
    • NDT courses LEVEL II (VT, UT, RT, ET, MT, and PT)
    • Seven years in industrial inspection field
    • Full knowledge of Microsoft Office
    • Knowledge of International codes such as ASME, API and NACE
    • Good communication skills both, verbal and writing
    Also, it is preferred to have a candidate who has experience and worked before with Saudi Aramco and has full knowledge about Saudi Aramco standards and procedures.
