    The Generator Electric Technician is part of the Deep Maintenance and Refurbishment (DMR) program and participates in generator improvement and repair for RSADF systems function and provides technical assistance to existing customer personnel that is covered under the currently approved TAA. Typical duties include troubleshooting of electric failures in generators, repairing and overhauling Patriot power generators, and assist in the disassembly, re-assembly, repair and/or inspection of electronic, electrical and mechanical systems, chassis and personal computer boards. In addition, the individual will perform maintenance and maintainability demonstrations for customers, train and plan training programs, prepare and maintain records pertaining to equipment failures, and observe, analyze and report test data. Performs other related duties as required or directed by the section officer. This position is located in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia with minimal travel requirements.

    Required Skills:

    Ability to troubleshoot of electric failures in diesel generators.

    Able to perform test, repair & overhaul Patriot power generators.

    Ability to read schematic diagrams and engineering drawings, as well as able to use general purpose commercial test equipment and common tools

    Performs in-process inspections of maintenance activities to ensure repairs are accomplished in accordance with applicable quality standards and procedures.

    Ability to perform disassembly, re-assembly, repair and/or inspection of electronics electrical, and mechanical systems, chassis and personal computer boards.

    Able to test, troubleshoot, repair, maintain and install a wide variety of electronic, electromechanical and mechanical, computer, laboratory and/or equipment

    Must have 6 years' experience in troubleshooting and repair of generators.

    Must be proficient in troubleshooting, fault isolation and repair of various types of generators

    Proficiency in the English language, spoken and written.

    Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

    Must be able to obtain a Saudi Arabia visa.

    Must have a current secret security clearance.

    Desired Skills:

    Graduate of applicable Lechmotoren power generation equipment repair course

    Graduate of diesel powered power generation equipment repair course

    Demonstrated basic knowledge of the Patriot refurbishment, modification, and system integration process

    Demonstrated knowledge of Patriot peculiar Technical Manuals and associated drawings, schematics, and publications

    Ability to train & plan training programs for junior diesel generator technicians

    Demonstrated ability to interact with leadership effectively – including customer, Raytheon, teammates, and suppliers

    Previous experience in International Patriot FMS Programs

    Experience living and working in an overseas location

    Required Education (Including Major):

    Bachelor's Degree with focus on Power Generation or Engine Diagnostics and 2 years of experience, Associates Degree with 2 years of experience, or High School diploma with 6 years of experience

    Graduate of a technical school or manufacturer's course of instruction on diesel power generation equipment, or equivalent on-the-job training (OJT)

    Requires theoretical to advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through University Degree combined with experience. Practical knowledge of RTX projects, programs or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.
