Job summary
The SOC Analyst is responsible for monitoring detecting analyzing and responding to cybersecurity incidents using various security tools technologies.Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts events using SIEM tools e.g Splunk QRadar Sentinel ArcSight
- Analyze logs from firewalls IDS/IPS endpoints servers network devices
- Identify suspicious activities potential security incidents
- Perform threat hunting proactive monitoring
Skills
- Knowledge networking concepts TCP/IP DNS HTTP VPN
- Understanding cybersecurity concepts malware phishing MITRE ATT&CK threat actors
- Experience SIEM tools Basic knowledge Windows Linux systems Log analysis skills Understanding firewalls IDS/IPS endpoint security
