    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    Planning
    To develop an annual Communications Strategy & Plan for KSA that:

    • Establishes accurate and specific targets for each calendar year for both internal and external communications.

    • Outlines initiatives intended to achieve objectives with a culturally relevant approach.

    • Identifies the budgets and resources essential for a successful delivery of the plan.

    • Aligns with immediate term objectives for the business units in KSA.

    • Localises the global and regional strategy where needed for the business unit in KSA, addressing both English and Arabic audiences.

    • Optimises the use of key owned channels (. LinkedIn); thought leadership assets (. Trade in Transition); executive spokespeople (. Chairman).

    Media relations
    To collaborate with the regional Communications team to implement the plan by:

    • Developing solid relationships with media outlets in KSA.

    • Staying updated about media trends and offering insights on PR and media interactions.

    • Addressing editorial requests from various DP World business unit's departments and functions.

    • Ensuring that DP World's perspectives are accurately represented in KSA.

    • Managing and creating content for DP World social and digital media platforms.

    Implementation
    To drive effective and cost-efficient execution of the plan by:

    • Engaging with business unit's, departments, and functions to 'story mine' compelling narratives suitable for Arabic and English media audiences.

    • Creating messaging that promotes company values, success stories, employee achievements.
    and enhances our media presence.

    • Efficiently overseeing external agency resources while ensuring cost-effectiveness.

    • Collaborating with Communications peers at both regional and global levels.

    • Providing strategic guidance for developing campaigns that support objectives and build ambassadorship.

    • Ensuring that internal communication tools and channels are kept up to date.

    • Proactively driving internal communication strategies and tactics that engage and inspire employees.

    • Supporting coordination and planning of internal conferences, town halls and employee activations.

    • Managing DP World KSA, pages and website.

    Measurement
    To build an overall dashboard of Communications measurements by:

    • Evaluating effectiveness of internal communication initiatives against KPIs and relative effectiveness and efficiency of different communication channels.

    • Enabling investments to be justified based on robustly measured ROI.

    • Contributing to a regional dashboard of Communications measurements by establishing relevant and actionable measures of earned media performance against well-defined objectives.

    Internal processes
    To ensure the effective running of the Communications team in KSA by:

    • Developing a set of internal processes that are aligned with the regional/global processes.

    • Managing press release distribution using Press Page and maintaining media contact lists.

    • Coordinating photo selection, captions and uploading press releases to DP World website after alignment with regional office.

    • Coordinating with the regional Social & Digital team to ensure press releases are amplified and with the regional Internal Communications team for wider employee engagement.

    Continuous Improvement:

    • Test and validate new ideas and approaches to drive internal awareness and engagement.

    • Benchmark against industry best practice and emerging tactics and strategies.

    • Explore opportunity for enhanced cost efficiency – 'doing more with less'.

    Compliance:

    • Adhere to and actively promote behaviours which reflect the Brand Purpose.

    • Maintain the highest levels of safety standards.

    • Comply with our principles, code of conduct and ethical policies.

    • Meet all agreed standards for DP World's brand and visual identity.

    • Always act as an ambassador for DP World.

    QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

    • BA in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field.

    • 5 to 7 years in related role ideally in B2B context.

    • Outstanding written and verbal communications skills in Arabic and English.

    • Proven track record of dealing with the media, running media campaigns, and event management.

    • Ability to produce clear and concise written material for the media, in Arabic and English.

    • Experience of project management within complex situations and environments.

    • Excellent skills in people management, networking, planning, research, and analysis.

    • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

    • Innovative and creative with sound ethical values.
