- Conduct face to face interviews at the sites selected for the research project.
- Administer the research instrument / tool with the research participants.
- Ensure safe keeping of the research data collected.
- At all times adhere to the principles of voluntary participation, privacy, confidentiality and anonymity.

- Must be able to speak the local languages in the areas selected for the research project.

- Knowledge of Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), Batho Pele Principles, Legislative and other mandates relevant to the Department of Social Development.
- Knowledge of research protocols and research ethics.
- Capricorn District research sites: Blouberg, Molemole, LepeIIe-Nkumpi, Polokwane.
- Mopani District research sites: Ba-Phababorwa, Greater Giyani, Greater Letaba, Greater Tzaneen, and Maruleng.
- Sekhukhune District research sites: Elias Motsoaledi, Ephraim Mogale, Fetakgomo-Tubatse and Makhuduthamaga.
- Vhembe District research sites: Collins Chabane, Makhado, Musina, Thulamela.
- Waterberg District research sites: BelaBeIa, Mogalakwena, ModimolIe-Mookgophong, Lephalale and Thabazimbi. Provincial Office research sites: Polokwane and adjacent areas.
