    Job Description

    Manage the product mix of the category to achieve the commercial KPIs in line with the department's strategy and supplier relationship.

    Accountabilities

    Category Strategy:

    • Develop the category strategy based on the category role and intent through the alignment with the division strategy, then execute and Drive Successful implementation to set the strategy through monitoring customer data, supplier and brand performance, region performance and the marketing data to ensure the proper implementation of the set strategy.

    Category Portfolio:

    • Manage the category portfolio through creating new segments based on the customer needs and market insights in addition to listing new products (1st to market or defined products) to differentiate Nahdi assortments, satisfy customers' needs and cover the missed gaps.

    Category SKUs:

    • Drive the listing/delisting cycle of category SKUs. Create new items form, analyze the items performance and decide accordingly on possible expansions, Create seeding plans, monitor the new items performance and for the delisting, through canceling, recalling and prepare liquidation plans to manage the category portfolio and to achieve the commercial and regulatory objectives then align with the concerned stakeholders to ensure the proper execution.
    • Drive Category GM based on the mix directions.
    • Develop pricing strategy for the category based on market dynamics and channel strategy .
    • Develop category promo strategy which ensure category role
    • Drive market share via full implementation for the 4Ps .
    • Manage the distribution model of the category SKUs through the matrix (assortment control) and regular model by items ranging, setting Minimum Display Quantity (MDQ), review and update the matrix plan through the collaboration with the merchandising planning department and define the proper assortment profile for new shop format to optimize the inventory, achieve sales targets and satisfy customer needs.

    Category Supplier:

    • Manage the relationship with the category suppliers through the development of joint business plan (where applicable), the proper communication with the concerned stakeholders and the participation with the buying team in the contract renewal process to maximize the financial benefits.
    • Manage and control the preferred list and preferred plus through items selection, negotiation with the suppliers and communicating to the related stakeholders to drive the profit mix.
    • Develop JBP with key supplier including sharing forecast and prolonged action plan

    Planogram:

    • Manage the product display (Planogram) of the category items in the store through the coordination with the space planning and the marketing teams based on the shoppers' insights, the category strategy, the financial objectives and customer decision tree to enhance and facilitate the shoppers experience and communicate the initiative master plan of the category with the concerned stakeholders.

    Cross Functional Alignment:

    • Support the promotion calendar based on the category strategy: Agree with the suppliers on the promoted items and offers and secure the required promo budget and the collaboration with the marketing departments to monitor the impact of the promotions on the sales, market share and customers' satisfaction.
    • Drive the consumer communication strategy for the category/product level through the collaboration with the marketing department and the suppliers in order to felicitate the execution through the marketing team.
    • Prioritize the commercial training scope through the collaboration with the business support team and with the suppliers for the new products' materials to ensure the proper awareness for the category products is in place.

    Store Activities:

    • Drive in-store activities by Designing and agreeing on the activities with the suppliers, co-negotiate the rental fees with the buying team, the selection of the Point of Sale (POS) materials and the communication with the concerned stakeholders to ensure the proper and on time execution.

    Employee duties are not limited only to the above-mentioned Accountabilities; he/she may perform other duties as assigned.

    Job Requirements

    Education
    • BSc Degree

    Experience

    • 3-6 Year of Experience in Retail
