    Job Description

    A Sports and Entertainment Consultancy is expanding to Saudi Arabia and are looking for a Senior Consultant and Manager and to join them on a permanent basis.

    Location Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

    Skills and Experience:

    • Minimum of 5 years experience at a top-tier management consulting firm, including at least 1-2 years in a project management role
    • Excellent verbal and written English
    • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex ideas and insights effectively
    • Working proficiency in Arabic is an advantage
    • Proven interest or involvement in sports and entertainment is a prerequisite.
    • Entrepreneurial mindset, self-directed, proactive, with the desire and capability to build and a bias to action
    • Ability to work independently and within a team environment with go-getter attitude
    • Prepared to work on global projects

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Ensures that our strategic and commercial advice to our rights holder, national government and city clients is always insight driven, focused on pragmatic commercial and operational outcomes that are directly targeted to the client brief and need
    • Ensure that our outputs are always market leading
    • Be the first line of critical quality assurance of deliverables, proactively providing feedback and ensuring remedial action is delivered
    • Manage a portfolio of parallel client engagements
    • Act as the day to day conduit between the Consulting practice and our most senior clients
    • Directly manage our Senior Consultants, Consultants and Analysts to support them in project managing the delivery of our engagements, using project management skills and tools
    • Proactively manage associates and third parties
    • Manage the company s risk exposure throughout engagements, including scope, cost overrun and other risks
    • Confidently present findings to peer and senior clients
    • Lead business development activities for target clients, including taking ownership of key BD deliverables such as RFP responses, scopes or work and pricing schedules
    • Proactively identify new opportunities, focused on one or more of the pillar offerings
    • Manage business development opportunities through the BD lifecycle, supported by AD, D and MD colleagues
    • Critically appraise the viability of new engagements, including margin, recoverability and strategic fit including challenging others when onboarding new engagements
    • Proactively develop account plans for existing clients, and own a proportion of this account plans to ensure existing client relationships are always serviced and opportunities proactively identified and followed up
    • Proactively identify and lead external thought leadership products (blogs, opinion pieces, podcasts)
    • Contribute to industry discussion and be an externally facing SME conferences, podcasts)
    • Proactively attend networking events and build own and company network
    • Lead SEER engagements and initiatives
    • Own and develop our one or more of our toolsets and methodologies to progressively make and keep them market leading
    • Own one or more of our external partner relationships and proactively manage to ensure we are maximising the opportunity (e.g. data provider)
    • Line manage junior and senior consultants, proactively coaching and mentoring them to continue to grow and progress
    • Line manage others who line manage, supporting them to get the best from those they manage
    • Own aspects of our people development strategy
    • Lead internal training and knowledge sharing events, supported by other team member
    • Proactively identify training and knowledge sharing needs and solutions to delivering against those needs

    Senior Consultant

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide strategic and commercial advice to our rights holder, national government and city clients to help them develop market leading strategies to deliver smart commercial solutions to meet their changing needs
    • Manage a portfolio of parallel projects for a varied client base and act as the day to day conduit between the Consulting practice and our senior clients
    • Directly manage our Consultants and Analysts to support them in project managing the delivery of our engagements, using extensive project management skills
    • Confidently present findings to our most senior clients
    • Provide deep commercial, strategic, organisation design and governance advice to our network of leading sports, major event and entertainment clients
    • Sensitively adapt style and approach to the needs of our international client base, including travelling internationally to jointly work with our clients and their events
    • Scope, design and translate innovative research into actionable insight to inform the project delivery
    • Create high quality outputs that not only meet client needs, but can act as public marketing and communication materials
    • Line manage a team of junior consultants, proactively coaching and mentoring them to continue to grow and progress
    • Take ownership of elements of the strategies that develop our people and our offerings to the market
    • Develop thought leadership that continues to develop the practice internally and externally
