    Aboutour client:

    Our client is the nationalsupercomputer HPC organization in charge of the planning,installation and long term operation of the same. For theirrecently set up organization and HPC infrastructure, they areseeking for a HPC User Support Engineer to join theSupport Servicesteam.

    Yourmission:

    Youwill become part of the internal HPC User Support Engineering teamand you will provide L1 and L2 support to the company s customers(well known companies/brands) for accessing and using its HPC/Cloudsystems and services. On top of that you will participate invarious IT projects in this domain and will be able to gain furtherexperience and expertise in thosefields.

    Yourtasks:

    • Beingthe company s primary point of contact for system usage relatedissues for HPC users (external clients), L1 and L2 Servicelayers
    • Ensuringsupport requests are answered in a timely and accurate manner,either by directly solving the issues or escalatingthem
    • Contributingto and maintaining documentation regarding solutions to customersissues
    • Interactwith HPC experts within the organization to ensure that even themost complex questions and requests are answered, escalating therequests as required and ensuring theirfollow-up.
    • Participatein advanced support projects together with the Company sexperts
    • Contributeto the development of software that improve internal Companyprocesses
    • Helpingidentifying training needs and areas ofimprovement
    • Participatingto the company effort ensuring 24/7 serviceavailability
    • Participatein initiatives to improve the efficiency and quality of the UserSupportServices
    • Contributeand participate in training sessions for the efficient andeffective use of HPC, Data and Cloudsystems
    • Helpidentify training needs and areas ofimprovement
    • Ensurehigh levels of customersatisfaction
    TheRequirements:
    • Universitydegree (Bachelor/Master) in computer science, computer engineering,information technology or a closely related field isrequested.
    • Provenworking experience (2 years minimum) in user support, softwaredevelopment, system administration or DevOps role, preferably in aHigh Performance Computing or Cloud Computingenvironment.
    • Goodknowledge of Linux and/or Unixenvironments.
    • Skilledin at least one scripting language (Bash, Perl,Python).
    • Skilledin at least one general purpose programming language (C, C++,Fortran,Python).
    • Demonstratedability to solve problemsanalytically.
    • Excellentcommand of written and spoken English is a must. Good control ofFrench and/or German is aplus.
    • Stronginterpersonalskills.
    • Workingknowledge of Cloud Computing concepts andtools.
    • Dependingon degree, experience in a technical help desk setup would be aplus
    • Experiencein providing training toend-users.
