The Executive Director – National Security Tech & Defense Procurement will spearhead strategic initiatives that enhance the organization's capabilities in the ever-evolving landscape of national security and defense technology. This senior leadership role demands a visionary leader with a comprehensive understanding of government procurement processes, national defense policies, and emerging technologies pivotal to enhancing national security. The Executive Director will engage with high-level stakeholders, including government agencies, defense contractors, and technology innovators, to formulate and execute cutting-edge procurement strategies. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in project management, risk assessment, and compliance, demonstrating a proven ability to navigate complex regulatory environments while driving efficiency and effectiveness in procurement operations. Job Requirements:

• A minimum of 15 years of progressively responsible experience in national security, defense procurement, or a closely related field.
• Proven track record in developing and executing procurement strategies in alignment with national security objectives.
• Extensive knowledge of federal procurement regulations and compliance frameworks, including but not limited to FAR, DFARS, and other relevant policies.
• Demonstrated experience managing multi-million dollar contracts and negotiating with high-level government agencies and private sector partners.
• Exceptional leadership capabilities with experience managing cross-functional teams and cultivating a high-performance organizational culture.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, capable of assessing market trends and aligning organizational goals with emerging technology solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, including senior government officials and defense industry leaders.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders, ensuring timely deliverables and alignment with organizational objectives.
• Experience in leveraging data analytics and technology to enhance procurement processes and decision-making.
• A strong understanding of risk management principles in defense procurement and the ability to implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Advanced degree in a relevant field such as Public Policy, Business Administration, or National Security is highly desirable.
• Experience working with or within federal agencies related to defense contract management is a strong plus.
• Commitment to ethical procurement practices and fostering diversity and inclusion within procurement operations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Mentor and develop procurement staff to enhance their technical skills and overall effectiveness, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
• Analyze procurement data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective measures as needed.
