    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for Ensuring compliance with legislation and the requirements of this Plan. Liaising with Managers/Supervisors on the day-to-day management of environmental risks and issues. Monitoring implementation and compliance with the Contractor EMS. Ensuring sufficient resources of suitable qualification and experience to implement the environmental and social requirements in this document.
    • Ensuring personnel are made aware of their requirements under this Plan and coordinating Environmental training and inductions. Coordinating any environmental monitoring required by this Plan. Ensuring environmental records relevant to the works are generated and maintained. Leading environmental site inspections and systems audits and ensuring corrective actions are closed out. Leading environmental incident investigations and ensuring corrective actions are closed out.
    • Develop and implement environmental management strategies and policies in accordance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental laws, regulations, and standards.
    • Conduct environmental risk assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement and implement measures to mitigate risks.
    • Monitor and report on environmental performance, including waste management, emissions, and resource conservation.
    • Develop and deliver environmental training programs for employees to promote awareness and compliance.
    • Liaise with regulatory agencies, stakeholders, and community groups to address environmental concerns and maintain positive relationships.
    • Stay current with emerging environmental trends, technologies, and best practices.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 12 years of experience in environmental management, preferably in the Oil and Energy industry.
    • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance requirements.
    • Experience developing and implementing environmental management systems.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
