    You ensure that customer plans are developed and executed by supporting the delivery of strategies and tactics for growth.

    You understand the business metrics and financial drivers needed to unlock profitable growth for Mondel z International and our customers and work with key account managers to implement plans to deliver our annual target.

    The Head of Category Planning & Activation position is a key role in the Sales Leadership team. This role has the following core areas of responsibility.

    How you will contribute:

    You will:

    • Lead the development of the trade marketing part of the category annual plans (contract process) and works on strategic initiatives across the SP period.
    • Ensure customer plans are developed and executed by supporting the delivery of strategies and tactics for growth.
    • Understand the business metrics and financial drivers needed to unlock profitable growth for Mondel z International and our customers and work with Channel heads and Teams to implement plans to deliver on short- & long-term objectives.
    • Understand market dynamics / consumer insights by channel to participate on trade marketing strategic decisions.
    • Lead the business planning meeting where the sales quotas are built to accomplish the annual plans based on relevant building blocks.
    • Suggest and influences investment in category building blocks, according to category and channel need, and is accountable of execution excellence at point of sale.
    • Follow up the competition s commercial activity in the category to detect business opportunities and potential threats for the brand.
    • Play a leadership role within the multi categories teams by leading, providing accurate and relevant channel point of sale information that will lead to find business opportunities such as innovations, customer promotions, portfolio, pricing, etc. that will lead to achieve multi categories targets.
    • Lead and owns Revenue Growth Management initiatives and is the owner of the Gross to Net Budget
    • Lead Sales operations and ensures support to Sales Team on operations.
    • Accelerate the digitalization agenda in Sales and ensure implementation.
    • Lead people development for all members of the Category Planning & Activation team.

    • Influencing stakeholders and interacting effectively with others with the courage and resilience to hold an alternative point of view.

    W hat is needed to do the job effectively:


    • Strong knowledge of the IBP process.
    • High level of understanding the commercial planning process including NPD/IMC, P2B and customer initiative development- NPD/

    IMC:

    • High level understanding of RGM.
    • Moderate level of knowledge of the Strategic Planning and Annual Budgeting process.
    • Moderate to high Level of knowledge of Category Management including occasion-based demand theory and Shopper Missions framework.
    • High Level of knowledge on retail environment, promotional tactics, execution and fulfilment processes.
    • Strong knowledge of the Joint Business Planning Process with customers.

    Education / Certifications:

    Tertiary qualification:
    commerce or marketing preferred.


    • Category Management Training preferred.
    • Senior Sales and/or Marketing experience essential
    • Bachelor's Degree or higher

    Job specific requirements:
    Minimum 12 years FMCG experience in Sales / Trade Marketing / Category Management Ideally with broad experience across the following:


    • Sales at NBM or NSM level
    • Good understanding of consumer marketing either from working directly in that area or as part of through demonstrated experience

    Category Management:
    operational is essential and strategic is preferred


    • Strong financial acumen and history of working with finance/P&L s
    • Strong Business acumen and analytical thinking and Full Knowledge of Revenue Growth Management
    • Working with various Trade Marketing/ Shopper Marketing and Category Planning and Activation activities.
    • Good understanding of developing business reporting, data analysis for full picture of channel, customer, and consumer performance
