    Job Description


    • Train and manage kitchen personnel and supervise/coordinate all related culinary activities.


    • Estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food.


    • Select and develop recipes.


    • Standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality.


    • Establish presentation technique and quality standards.


    • Plan and price menus; ensure proper equipment operation/maintenance and ensure proper

    safety and sanitation in kitchen.


    • Oversee special catering events, offer culinary instruction and demonstrate culinary

    techniques.


    • To maintain exceptional standards of product and service delivery that is consistent with

    customer expectations.


    • To maintain the smooth and profitable day to day running of the kitchens within hotel's food

    and beverage outlets.


    • To research and circulate findings of all new food initiatives and trends, and to ensure that the

    hotel leads the market in terms of quality and new product innovation.


    • Accountable for the generation and management of kitchen budgets


    • To source and build relationships with all food and equipment suppliers, ensuring that the best

    produce is delivered to all kitchens with pricing that incorporates the scale of the business.


    • To protect and maintain the assets of the kitchens.


    • To implement and manage a strong waste management system, this will be underpinned by

    structured

    ordering and stock management systems


    • To facilitate the recruitment and placement of all kitchen team members and to put

    structures in place to continuously develop and monitor the progress of the team.


    • Attends department meetings and summarizes performance.


    • Highlights achievements, problems and challenges.


    • Attends productivity reviews.


    • Coordinates with outlet managers for daily events.


    • Conduct/attends briefings.

    Qualifications

    Must be Saudi or Muqeem (with a Saudi Resident)

    Experience in the same field is a must, preferably in the Hotel industry

    Strong attention to detail, highly responsible, organized & reliable

    Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities

    Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
