- Contribute to the development of physical security strategy aligned with achieving the RSG vision and mission.
- Ensure that physical security is designed to positively influence the Security Strategy and to optimize operational security capability.
- Validate risk assessments, concept master plans, detailed master plans and physical security design and treatment drawings during planning and construction phases of projects.
- Contribute to the preparation of the functional budget and provide ideas to capitalize on opportunities for continuous improvement and waste elimination.
- Responsible for Security Planning, Strategy and Physical Security design.
- Support the preparation of physical security design guidelines, specifications, and drawings for RSG sites.
- Establish solid understanding of the projects throughout the project phases via documentation and site visits.
- Attend all relevant meetings to the security discipline as required.
- Support the review and approval of all threat and risk assessments, Concept and Detailed Master Plans for various projects and ensure the process and physical security design align with RSG guidelines and specs, local regulations / guidelines, international standards, and industry best practices.
- Support the preparation of bids, specifications, and tendering process for security design needs.
- Ensure detailed minutes are taken within all meetings attended by the security design team and ensure they are validated and filed accordingly.
- Maintain accurate filing processes to support efficient document control.
- Suggesting improvements to existing and future physical security design.
- Be familiar with Physical Security methodology, strategies, treatments, and their application.
- Be familiar with Security Management practices.
- Support the review and approval of all threat and risk assessments, Concept and Detailed Master Plans & documents etc.
- Remain up to date with the latest physical security design strategies, tools, trends, and technology.
- Should be familiar with Physical Access Control Systems, methodology and applications.
- Should be familiar with Video Surveillance Systems, methodology and applications.
- Should be familiar with Intruder Detection Systems, methodology and applications.
- Should be familiar with Physical Security hardware, methodology and applications.
- Should have working knowledge in Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP).
- Liaise with Local suppliers / Contractors to ensure adherence to standards and scope of works as per standards.
• Coordinate with design managers undertaking close-out work in all stages of the design development. - Support the documented construction supervision undertaken to confirm ongoing alignment to agreed design.
- Support the efficient, documented commissioning of all assets from a physical security design perspective.
- To conduct any other reasonable, discipline related duties that are requested.
- Follow all relevant functional policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions to ensure that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
- Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely functional statements and reports to meet corporate and functional requirements, policies and standards.
- Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of Security design function's, processes and practices considering 'international best practice', improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Ideally in a security related discipline.
- Minimum 5-8 years relevant experience required in a security discipline.
- Relevant experience at managing / designing multiple projects in Middle East required.
- Extensive experience in the preparation of Physical Security design and specification.
- Proficient knowledge of quality-oriented design and engineering procedures.
- Sound knowledge of various codes and standards.
- In-depth knowledge of security procedures and security systems application.
- Be well versed with Physical Security Design Practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated skills in collaboration, teamwork, and problem-solving to achieve goals.

Job Purpose
Responsible to influence the design and implementation of physical security design to optimize the operational security strategy, policies and procedures and ensure alignment with RSG design guidelines, local regulations / guidelines, international standards, and industry best practices to support the development of a secure environment on assigned projects within RSG.
