Primary duties are using powertools to remove juniper and brush, and will be required to fightfire under stressful conditions with hand and power tools from 8-16hours.

Other wildland fire related duties might involve fireprevention, patrol, detection, or prescribed burning. The incumbentwill also be involved with the maintenance and repair offirefighting tools, equipment, and facilities, and will receivefirefighting training. Other duties are directly connected with theextinguishment of fires and/or maintaining and using firefighterapparatus and equipment. The duties of this position are sorigorous that employment is limited to physically vigorousindividuals who meet established physical requirements.

Requiredto pass medical exam and arduous fitness test.

Must have atelephone or reliable message phone, and be available and on call24 hours a day during the fire season.
