- Administrative and Technical Supervision
- To ensure efficiency and accuracy, oversee daily laboratory operations.
- Assign tasks to laboratory staff and monitor their performance and workflow.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment properly.
- Quality and Accreditation Management
- Implement and maintain compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.
- Review and update laboratory procedures, test methods, and quality manuals regularly.
- Conduct internal audits and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
- Sample Testing and Result Verification
- Supervise chemical and microbiological testing according to approved standards and methods.
- Review and approve test results before release.
- Investigate non-conformities and develop corrective measures.
- Food Safety Compliance
- Evaluate if laboratory operations comply with food safety standards and hygiene requirements.
- Participate in internal and external food safety audits and inspections.
- Train staff on good laboratory practices and food safety principles.
- Training and Development
- Develop laboratory personnel’s technical skills through training and mentoring.
- Introduce new analytical techniques to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Reporting and Communication
- Prepare periodic technical reports for senior management.
- Coordinate with other departments (Quality, Production, Procurement) to support overall food safety objectives.
