- Monitoring and managing critically ill cardiac patients, including performing regular assessments and evaluating changes in condition.
- Administering medications, IV therapy, and other treatments as prescribed by the physician.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Responding to emergencies, such as cardiac arrest and rapid response codes, and providing advanced life support as needed.
- Assisting with invasive procedures, such as intubation and central line placement.
- Maintaining accurate patient records, including documenting treatments, medications, and other critical information.
- Communicating with family members and keeping them informed of their loved ones progress and providing emotional support.
- Participating in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and new developments in cardiac care.
- NY Registered Nurse License
- AHA BLS and ACLS
- At least 2 years of previous Cardiac ICU experience
- IV certification ~preferred
