Parsons is looking foran amazingly talented Senior Procurement/QS tojoin our team In this role you will get to Participate in a widevariety of the morecomplex procurement functions to ensure qualityefficiency and timeliness of services provided to clients andproject personnel. May provide services for a specialized area ofProcurement (e.g. Traffic Specialist etc.) on large projects.Specific assignments depend upon project requirements. Theincumbent at this level must be capable of acting as the technicalexpert in his/her area of specialty.

What Youll Be Doing:

• Serves as primary point of contactwith suppliers to ensure equipment and materials are delivered tojob sites in support of construction schedules and follows up onassigned purchase orders to ensure adherence to terms andconditions.
• Initiatesaction as required to resolve any supplier problems which mightadversely affect project requirements and construction schedules.Travel to supplier facility may be necessary in order to resolveproblems relating to fabrication and/or delivery of material orequipment.
• Collaborateswith Buyers in the preaward solicitation process. Prepares bidderslists issues Request for Quotations receives and analyzes bidsprepares bid analysis summaries and makes recommendations forpurchase order awards.
• Mayprepare Purchase Orders and revisions as required.
• Oversees postawardactivities such as obtaining final vendor data and invoices fromsuppliers ensuring data is input into DMCS for supplier performanceevaluations and preparing for closeout and storage of all records.
• Serves as primary contactfor the distribution of procurement documents reports andcorrespondence to project management engineering and othernonprocurement disciplines.
• Analyses draft material requisitions reviews forcompleteness and accuracy suggests possible revisions and forwardsto project engineering for further processing. Ensures appropriatelogging of action taken.
• Monitors bid requests bid analyses and thepreparation of purchase orders to ensure timely action. Maintainspurchase order records including history of follow up contacts withsuppliers.
• Initiates fieldsupplier coordination assignments on critical purchase orders.
• Oversees the timelymaintenance of purchase orders on DMCS to ensure current status aswell as the coordination publication and distribution of projectmaterial/equipment status reports.
• Oversees the maintenance of purchase orderrecords including history of follow up contacts with suppliers.
• May serve as TrafficSpecialist providing arrangements for the safe most economicaldelivery of materials and equipment by selecting the best availabletransportation modes carriers rates and routing. Negotiatescontract rates for project and client approval.
• Performs analyticalstudies of available modes of transportation rates routing qualityof service transit times and specialized services offered.
• Performs otherresponsibilities associated with this position as may beappropriate.

What Required Skills Youll Bring:

• Procurementexperience with a major engineering and construction firm orindustrial supplier excellent written and oral communication skillsand demonstrated proficiency in utilizing DMCS is preferred. Inaddition a proficiency in at least two Procurement specialties isrequired.
• Bachelors Degreein Business Administration or Economics (or related field) andtypically 6 years of related work experience is required.
