    Role Purpose:
    The purpose of this role is toensure exams operations and supporting resource meet customerexperience requirements and ensure exams integrity on the ground.This role is ultimately responsible for efficient effective andcompliance of exams delivery managing cost risk and contingency onthe ground and setting standards developing and managing theperformance of their team. The post holderwill be required to support other locations in the country and maybe required to extensively travel in such circumstances. Post mayalso be required to work in flexible shift patterns depending onbusiness needs.
    Main Accountabilities:
    ServiceDelivery
    • Receives instructions and requests fromoperations manager and organises given resources accordingly (oftenat short notice) to ensure that work is carried out efficiently andeffectively.
    • Adapts work plans where necessaryto meet customer expectations.
    • Supervises andmonitors administration of tests by proctors and supervisors;ensures that test instructions are accurate and that appropriatetesting environments are maintained.
    • Uses arange of standardised systems and processes to plan and coordinateeffective timely and cost effective logistical support to enablethe delivery of high quality services to a range of customers(internal and/or external)
    • Keeps informed ofadvancing technology in standardized test administrationcomputerbased testing machine scoring and associatedsoftware
    • Oversee all operations at test venuesfor all exam products. This includes the management of all staffthe oversight of all procedures and the troubleshooting of anyproblems
    • Procures new venues as peroperational capacity requirements
    Customers/Relationship and stakeholders
    • Takes endtoendaccountability for researching and obtaining satisfactory andtimely resolution of complex/escalated customer (internal orexternal) operational complaints and issues coordinating input fromother colleagues/departments/managers as required to doso.
    • Provides routine direction information andadvisement to students and prospective students in regard totesting policies procedures and outcomes
    • Develops good working relationships with appropriatecolleagues throughout the BC to facilitate effective and efficientservice delivery
    • Develops strong relationshipswith British Council owned and managed venues and provides feedbackfor improvements as per audit standards
    Risk andcompliance
    • Uses standardisedprocesses to monitor team/unit compliance with agreed corporaterisk management procedures relevant to service delivery (e.g. childprotection security policies financial protocols antifraudmeasures) to protect the interests of the BC and its customers atall times.
    • Supervises venue staff whichtypically includes recommendations for hiring firing performanceevaluation training work allocation and problemresolution
    • Ensures that all testadministration is carried out in compliance with relevantuniversity and higher education policies regulations guidelines andstandards.
    • Carry out health and safetyinspections of British Council exam venues to meet with corporateand awarding body guidelines
    About You (essentialrequirements for the role):
    • The British Councilsystems and global processes operate in English and a B2 levelAbility to adapt to fast changing business requirements.
    • Flexibility to work across locations.
    • Experience working in exams environment.
    • University Degree or relevant working experience for 2years in a similar environment.
    Desirablerequirements for the role:
    • Should have fluency inArabic written and spoken skills.
