The Energy & Miningbusiness unit at Haley & Aldrich is growing and we arecurrently seeking a Staff/Senior Staff Civil Engineer that willsupport a variety of challenging multi-disciplinary engineeringassessment and civil engineering design Projects include generalsite civil/geotechnical, water resources management, wastemanagement, remediation, and contaminated site This is an excellentopportunity to join a growing business unit in a privately heldcompany with over 60 years of preparing smart, integrated solutionsfor our This position will be based in our Cleveland, OH

Roles&Responsibilities

Thesuccessful candidatewill:

• Work collaborativelywith a technical team supporting heavy industry clients with adiversity of challenging civil and environmental
  
• Take an active role in andownership of each project and assigned task, even if the workeffort is outside of the candidate s core competencies, whileseeking guidance from other technical/senior
  
• Provide technical and engineeringand design contributions to site investigations, civil/remedialdesign, and closure implementation projects to address client goalsand
  
• Prepare civil/surface water,geotechnical/stability, geo-environmental design plans, supportingdesign calculations, technical specifications and supportingengineering cost estimates for to be built civil andgeo-environmental construction
  
• Prepare proposals, technicalreports/presentations and regulatory compliance submissions forclient deliverables including findings and recommendations from avariety of civil and environmental engineering
  
• Support management of projects tomeet technical, quality, budgetary and scheduling
  
• Support field constructionactivities including office and field CQA assignments for builtprojects and supporting senior PE certifications of the
  

MinimumQualifications

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

• in Engineering or similar a
  
• 1-5years of professional services consultingexperience
  
• FE minimum required, onthe path to Professional Engineering (PE) registration orcertification, a plus
  
• Familiaritywith earthwork, site/civil, geotechnical, stormwater aspects ofresidential/commercial/industrial projects isexpected
  
• Experienced in engineeringdesign supporting site-civil and geo-environmental projectsassociated with site civil development, heavy industry, and wasteCoal Combustion Residual (CCR) and industrial/solid wastemanagement experience aplus
  
• Excellent written and verbalcommunication skills are a must which includes proficient writing,review, and editing of technical reports, feasibility studies andbasis of design documents to meet scope and quality objectives andclient expectations
  
• Maturity andwillingness to accept direction and project responsibilitiesincluding office and field assignments and a demonstrated record ofself-directed and motivated attitude toward learning and careergrowth
  
• Strong computer literacyskills including a working knowledge of industry standard softwareis required, such as AutoCAD/Autodesk/Civil 3D, Autodesk Hydraulicsand Hydrology tools ispreferred
  
• Strong organization skillsand an attention to detail isexpected
  
• Positive attitude, strongwork ethic, flexibility, and willingness to see projects through tocompletion is a must
  
• Limited travelas required to support project activities (, meetings, siteinvestigations/construction inspections, CQA activities oversight,and visits). Travel may also include technical conferences/industryevents
