This entity aims to attain the 2030 vision of Saudi Arabia wherein the country is closer to contributing towards a greener and sustainable planet. The organization is planning and implementing effective programs with best global experts on coral reefs and turtle to train the local talent. Furthermore, the entity aims to promote innovation in environmental conservation by driving research, community engagement, strategic partnerships and effective coordination with other stakeholders. Job Description
• Develop a comprehensive GIS based relational and searchable database for coral reefs and sea turtles.
• Support project managers identify the environmental constrains of fieldwork plans using spatial analysis
• Assists with maintaining the database of incoming reporting and treatment fate tracking data.
• Develop comprehensive data management framework to high quality local and meta-data.
• With taking care of confidentiality aspects, curate data with an open data culture with stakeholders to maximise benefits from data integration and empowering them to develop and implement conservation program based on science and sound knowledge
• Acquire and operate available state of the art data visualization tools that provide conservation specialist to better understand coral reefs and turtle ecosystem.
• Collaborate with national and international institutions for developing advanced data visualization tools.
• Produce conservation and educational materials and videos to explain and understand coral reefs and sea turtle ecosystems, threats and conservation
• Aligns projects with organizational objectives and needs
• Adopt and promote the use of state of the art data and cost effective data collections tools and methods such as autonomous high resolution data collection systems The Successful Applicant
• Master's or Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field preferred
• Extensive experience in a leadership or management role
• Strong technical background
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills including, mentoring, coaching, presentation skills and the ability to interact with colleagues at all technical levels
• Dynamic, energetic, motivated, positive outlook with the ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
