    We are currently seeking for passionate and dynamic Chef de Partie for our Cafe who pride themselves on their ability to deliver extraordinary levels of customer service and provide creative solutions to our guests.

    Position Title: Chef de Partie (Pastry)

    Department: Kitchen

    Reports To: Pastry Sous Chef or Head Pastry Chef

    Job Summary:

    As a Chef de Partie (Pastry) you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the pastry section within the kitchen. Working closely with the Pastry Sous Chef or Head Pastry Chef you will contribute to the creation and execution of highquality pastry dishes desserts and baked goods. Your role involves leading a team of commis chefs and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the pastry kitchen.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Production of Pastry Items:

    • Prepare and produce a variety of pastry items desserts and baked goods according to the established recipes and standards.
    • Ensure consistency and quality in all pastry products.
    • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the Sous Chef or Head Chef to place ingredient orders as needed.

    Team Leadership:

    • Supervise and train a team of commis chefs ensuring they adhere to kitchen policies and standards.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative working environment within the pastry section.
    • Lead by example demonstrating excellent culinary skills and professionalism.

    Menu Development:

    • Collaborate with the Sous Chef or Head Chef in developing new pastry menu items.
    • Contribute creative ideas and suggestions for dessert and pastry offerings.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate innovative techniques into the menu.

    Quality Control:

    • Conduct regular tastings and inspections to ensure the quality and presentation of all pastry items.
    • Address any issues promptly and make adjustments to maintain high standards.

    Kitchen Organization:

    • Organize and maintain a clean efficient and wellstocked pastry kitchen.
    • Implement proper storage and labeling procedures for ingredients and finished products.
    • Monitor equipment and report any maintenance or repair needs.
    • Adherence to Health and Safety Standards:
    • Follow and enforce health and safety guidelines including food safety and sanitation practices.
    • Ensure compliance with local health department regulations.

    Qualifications:

    • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or Chef de Partie in a pastry kitchen.
    • Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.
    • Strong knowledge of pastry techniques ingredients and trends.
    • Leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and handle pressure effectively..
