    Workshop Supervisor

    The role will be the focal point for the base staff within the workshop, which would include Welders, Fabricators, Painters/Blasters, Electrical, Mechanical and Hydraulic technicians and would also be responsible for setting up the full workshop including all policies, processes and workflows.

    Job responsibilities:

  • Ensure safety and timely availability of equipment within the facility for operational use by;
  • Coordinating the maintenance, repairs, testing and calibration of equipment for operational use
  • Providing technical leadership in the workplace
  • Solving complex problems
  • Ensuring operations are aligned with company and/or manufacturers standards and procedures
  • Carrying out staff development, performance appraisal and training requirement duties
  • Supervises all maintenance/workshop/yard activities and resources for one or more teams
  • People Management is a main task of this position, works autonomously.
  • You bring (qualifications & experience)

  • Requires higher professional education (HBO/College) or equivalent or higher professional and intellectual capacities and has advanced and specialized expertise, typically developed through job-related training and considerable work experience (Electrical / Mechanical / Hydraulic)
  • Physical yard/workshop laydown planning/ organization and documentation
  • Technical advice and mentoring to base staff as required
  • Good communicator in English
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar position
