    General Description of Role andResponsibilities:

    • Ensure the availability and adequacy of all theSupervision Consultants (Engineers) and Contractors HSE provisionsas per the requirements of this policy the Construction ContractsGeneral Conditions and Specifications their HSE Plans Employers HSERequirements and the applicable local/national and internationalstatutes and regulations.
    • Measuring the HSEperformance of the Supervision Consultant (Engineer) andContractors and advising on the actions necessary forimprovement.
    • Investigating direct androot/underlying causes of accidents/incidents and advisingrecommendations to prevent the recurrence of the same.
    • Recording and following up on any noted safety hazardsand nonconformances to HSE regulators and parties havingjurisdiction.
    • Coordinating with the PMCProject Manager/Construction Manager in the implementation ofeffective HSE systems on their Project sites.
    • Liaising with the Employer PMC (Hill International) andthe Local/Enforcing Authorities / Municipality Authorities inensuring adherence of all parties to the HSE Requirements of theirProjects.
    • Training and inducting staff onHSE.
    • Reviewing and approving Contractors HSEdocuments submittals drawings etc. to verify their suitabilityadequacy and conformance.
    • Ensuring theSupervision Consultants (Engineers) and Contractors full compliancewith the Project HSE Requirements.
    • Carryingout scheduled and unscheduled HSE audits and inspections andreporting to the Project management team on any identifiednonconformances for necessary action and correction by theviolating party.
    • Informing themselves of therelevant Quality Environmental Safety and Occupational HealthPolicies Manuals and Procedures within Hill International andensures continued compliance with these requirements while employedby Hill.
    • Perform other duties as assigned bythe linemanager/supervisor.

    QualificationsExperience Knowledge and Skills:

    • Bachelors Degree ofSafety Engineering or equivalent.
    • A minimum of3 years of construction experience with progressively moreresponsibility with respect to HSE Management with experience onMegaprojects.
    • Indepth knowledge of healthsafety and environmental auditing techniques.
    • Demonstrated ability to set goals and organize resources.
    • Strong interpersonal and communicationskills.
    • Ability to work with people ofdiverse disciplines backgrounds and cultures.
    • Ability to be flexible and to adapt to changingcircumstances.
    • Ability to meet deadlines be aselfstarter and be a quicklearner.
