    Job Summary

    We are seeking a Stationary Equipment Engineer to join ourMaintenance Support Shared Services Department (MSSSD). MSSSD is amultidisciplinary organization with interface to technical and insome cases business support requirements of Domestic Refining &NGL Fractionation Admin Area and This Company Affiliates. Itsfunction caters mainly to the technical needs of GlobalManufacturing operating facilities management and drive theperformances of operating facilities in executing corporateprograms and initiatives towards operational excellence and valuecreation. Your primary role will be to provide technical support tooperating facilities projects technology deployment and talentdevelopment. This includes also conducting technical studies andassessments in stationary assets such as mechanical calculationsfor piping pressure vessel shell and tube heat exchangers aircooler fin fans branch reinforcement hydrotest pressure ratingand/or derating fitness for service to evaluate flaws or damagepipe stress analysis flange calculations and perform nozzlecalculations.

    KeyResponsibilities

    • Perform field troubleshooting on a daily basis or asrequested including participation in major T&Is (Turnaroundsand Inspections) and emergency plant shutdowns.
    • Provide engineering support to repair hydrocarbon leaksand review and approve bolted clamp calculations and designs madeby specialized leak sealing contractors before fieldinstallation.
    • Support maintenance supportorganizations and project executions by developing repairprocedures or overseeing ongoing projects or repairs.
    • Perform piping mechanical calculations such asdetermining minimum wall thickness for internal and externalpressure branch reinforcement calculations MAWP (Maximum AllowableWorking Pressure) calculations following ASME B31.3 hydrotestpressure calculations and rating and/or derating of piping circuitsper API 570.
    • Perform fitnessforserviceevaluations using API 579 to assess flaws or damage and determinethe suitability of a piece of pipe for continuousoperation.
    • Conduct pipe stress analysis usingsoftware like Caesar II.
    • Perform flangecalculations following ASME VIII Div 1 App 2 usingPVElite.
    • Perform nozzle calculations usingWRC107 and WRC297 modeling the analysis in Caesar II orPVElite.
    • Perform pressure vessel calculationsincluding determining minimum wall thickness for internal andexternal pressure nozzle reinforcement calculations MAWPcalculations stability and buckling calculations for vessels to bepostweld heat treated (PWHT) and rating and/or derating of pressurevessels following API 510 NBIC23 ASME Code VIII Div 1 and/or Div 2when applicable.
    • Perform shell and tube heatexchanger calculations following TEMA (Tubular ExchangerManufacturers Association) standards including calculations fortube sheet minimum thickness minimum tube wall thickness andflowinduced vibration.
    • Perform air coolercalculations and assess mechanical design following API 661including mechanical assessment and ligament efficiencycalculations for tube sheet and plug sheet hole size enlargement asper ASME VII Div 1 App 13 using PVElite.
    • Perform calculations for fire heaters includingdetermining minimum wall thickness (elastic and rupture creep) asper API 530 tube remaining life calculations and overall mechanicalassessment of radiant/convection section tube supports. Alsoperform mechanical calculations for fire heater stacks (minimumwall thickness and vibration analysis).
    • Conduct mechanical calculations and technical assessmentsfor various miscellaneous mechanical items such as hot tapsexpansion joints steam traps special valves strainers quillinjector vortex shedding calculations.
    • Providesupport to the Tank Farm area by performing calculations as per API650 and reviewing procedures as per API 653 for storage tank repairand maintenance.

    Requirements:

    • This role required candidate topermanently relocate at Dhahran SaudiArabia.
    • Bachelors Degree inMechanical Engineering.
    • Minimum of 8 years ofexperience in the Refinery NGLF (Natural Gas Liquids Fractionation)or Petrochemical industry with a specific focus on asset integrityof stationary equipment.
    • At least 5 years offield experience working on major plant turnarounds and fieldtroubleshooting.
    • Thorough knowledge of bestengineering practices.
    • Solid background inindustry codes and standards.
    • Proficiency inusing engineering software.
