Senior Mine Planning Engineer

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Mine Planning Engineer. This role plays a critical part in driving operational efficiency through short to long-term mine planning.

The successful candidate will oversee the development and management of annual budgets, LOM plans, and rolling forecasts for underground mine operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and Manage Annual Budgets - Create and manage comprehensive budgets that align with production targets and geological data.
• Lead Mine Planning Activities - Oversee the development of short and medium-term schedules, analyze production performance, and identify deviations to lead recovery planning.
• Ensure Technical Quality - Ensure technical quality and statutory compliance in all mine planning activities.
• Contribute to Team Growth - Contribute to the growth of a high-performing technical team through coaching and skills development.
• Foster Collaboration - Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and foster collaboration across departments.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree - Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering (or equivalent).
• Experience - 5–10 years of experience in underground hard rock mining, with a strong focus on planning.
• Skills and Qualifications - Mine budgeting and equipment cycle calculations, planning for long-hole open stoping and cut & fill methods, ventilation, paste fill, and reticulation systems, DESWIK mine planning software (or equivalent), familiarity with reporting codes such as JORC, NI 43-101, and business planning processes.
