Conduct archaeological surveys,monitoring, and excavation in support of cultural resourcesmanagement fieldwork. Use electronic and traditional navigationalequipment (GPS, iPad, compass, transit, etc.) to orient yourselfand perform fieldwork.

Record and photograph cultural resourcesidentified in the field including artifacts, ecofacts, features,excavation units, land use, landscaped, historic structures, uniqueenvironmental features, archaeological sites.

Record accurate,organized, and clear field notes, maps, drawings, logs, forms,tables, and other project documentation. Complete project tasks anderrands as directed by the Crew Leader or Principal Investigator.
Maintain, organize, and return company-provided field equipment,supplies and vehicles. Follow all safety and health guidelines atproject work site. Travel for extended periods of time ifnecessary. We offer paid-training, as well as hotel and er diem forout-of-town travel. Possibility for position to become full-time.

Requirements

Mustbe a Warm Springs Tribal Member. Must be willing to work outdoorsand able to walk 5-10 miles regularly. Hunting, fishing, andgathering are all valid forms of experience. Applicant will berequired to submit and pass both a pre-employment drug screeningand criminal background check with Federal, Tribal and State LawEnforcement.
