A Phenomenal Person

In a simple or great ways, every person can make a meaningful contribution towards bettering a society. After all, to be a philanthropic person means to be kindhearted and generous.

He hailed from a middle-class family, and his father was a restauranteur. He was a middle son and only literate member in a big family. After completing Diploma in Engineering, he joined Air Force academy, and then, getting a placement in a government sector was like making a lucrative start in one’s career.

As an employee, he used to squeeze some time on the weekends, and like an occasional merchant, he sold essential domestic products to his colleagues and friends. That way he made some extra income. By the way, he was frugal enough not to make greedy savings, but to help his kith and kin, and sometimes to needy neighbors or wayfarers. 

In humble ways, he was an obedient son to his illiterate, old parents, a caring brother, a responsible husband and a loving father.

After almost spending one and half decade of regimented and rugged services in Air Force academy, he joined as a supervisor in a production factory. He worked there for a short stint. Based on his past foreman expertise and latest supervisory skills, he got a marvelous opportunity. On a newer job, he moved to a reputed oil and gas exploration company. That career progression, indeed, was a double blessing for him.

Little I knew, from others, about his personality traits. But, that tidbit of information was more inspirational. At workplace, he was a cordial employee. No furrowed forehead even at times of stress. He was more persevering and soft-spoken. He listened to others attentively and revered people. 

Besides an efficient employee, he was a successful entrepreneur. He mentored people to start businesses of their own. He wasn’t a man eager to accumulate wealth or a spendthrift for vain luxuries. But, with a trace of compassion, he helped others towards humanitarian cause.

In truth, he helped people, in many ways, with some means. He sponsored poor students to continue their education. He was more concerned to give charities to orphans and poverty-stricken widows. In fact, he trained his children how to volunteer needy people and bring in change in their lives with little donations and timely help. 

A man without egoism, he was more kind, reliable and truthful. Sometimes, he spoke like a charismatic leader and his very words were enough to instill inspiration and move stony hearts.

Ah, I still admire the way he lived, and I feel to speak about him in dearest terms when he comes to my mind.
