Communication That Matters

Imagine what could be the outcomes when the whole communication is chaotic and corrupted. Obviously, a person who is habituated to lying or mixing truths with a tincture of falsities doesn’t realizes that what could be the severe repercussions of such bluffing. A person may promise to commit something for others, but then, due to his inward insincerity, he will alter his intentions and make lying statements.

When a person reaches towering heights, there’s a fear of temptations, trembling and tumbling down. Yes, that’s the truth. I have heard people who, while discoursing something sensible and significant, make a strange slip of their tongues and utter nonsensical statements. Strangely, their sayings are without any chain of narration, citations or valid evidences.

Once, I saw a video, in which a scholar was describing about a renowned person, and he professed that such a man was so brilliant and expert that he used to recite a book of more than 500 pages within the time that was available when he put his one leg in a horse saddle stirrup extender and the other leg in other stirrup extender. That’s a true lie, isn’t that? But, illiterate people, who are blind in twisted faith and traditional tales, believe it.

Moreover, the gravity of communication depends on to what extent a person is knowledgeable and aware of factual happenings or near similarities. Simply to say, without accurate information, clear interpretation and proper communication, we will have distorted perception and flawed actions.

I remember my grandmother, who was illiterate, but she held a knack in her utterances and household obligations so much that everyone believed her when she narrated legends. She used to say that you shouldn’t sit on a pillow otherwise you get sores, not to play with a door chain otherwise there will be a quarrel among the family members or if you see an own perching at your home, then that’s seriously bad omen. There is no truth in these baseless hearsays.

Now-a-days, in this digital age, everything, with disparities in content and tones, get communicated anytime and anywhere. Oftentimes, we come across one single news in hundred different ways. If we wish to give worth to realities, we have to check which one is authentic and which one is slanted. Apart from this, how can we believe everything that gets published or disseminated on various social media platforms? So much is the dispersed content in the form of mingled news, quick gossips and rattling rumors that there’s paralysis by analysis and every person overthinks or fall into a dilemma.

And then, in the workplace, lack of communication creates communication gaps and wrong communication leads to division among people and damaged relationships. 

When employees, due to disunity, rarely communicates with each other, then there’s every possibility of poor communication and frequent blunders that may lead to incomplete or wrong tasks, ineffective teamwork, overspending, waste of time, little optimism, poor performance, project delays and low profits.
