Ugh...as the count and level of disease varies, there are hundreds of therapeutic drugs, amalgamated medications and revolutionary treatments that all come with unusual price tags.

Big pharma, as they boast of their pioneering methods and drug pipeline, always look out for innovative concepts to practical solutions where they can invest monies on massive research, drug efficacy studies, registering new therapeutic entities and for accelerating drug authority approvals.

For example, branded cancer drugs are all labelled as novelty therapies of maximum value and are available at exorbitant prices per treatment. If questioned about the high pricing of drugs, Big Pharma with not disclose their early research to product development costs or price strategy for prescription drugs. Instead, they will come up with their imprecise justifications.

It’s not just high funding on research and development or regulatory processes, but it also includes hidden disproportionate profits.

Perhaps, in some cases, when specific cancers are incurable, then there’s lurking greed in Big Pharma and they figure out how to generate sales revenue from those long-term profitable diseases.

If at all, Big Pharma comes up with new, unparalleled curative therapies for life-threatening diseases or dire cancers, the price tag per treatment turns out to be unbelievably high. Indeed, there’s hope for miserable patients who can have access to treatments, but the swelling cost of novel therapies remain an enigma.

Okay, it’s agreed that Big Pharma carries out their R&D activities for engineering, modifying and developing cell therapies and fusing ingredients to hatch novel drugs for a range of dreadful ailments. But, any breakthrough therapies for curing cancers at high prices will only butcher poor patients to more misery.

Or the most capable novel therapies at high prices are meant only for the benefit of rich echelons of society who can avail faster treatments?

In fact, the drug industry is colossal, and if investigational drugs, after all studies, trials, side-effects and warnings, become breakthrough specialty medicines, then there’ll be opportunities to meet patient demand and reap rapid revenues.

The value of humanity is nowhere when big companies are actively engaged to develop innovative therapies, with claims to benefit patients around the world, and on the other side, with all their greed, dispense their products at high prices. More than caring and curing, burdening patient population with the soaring straight prices of drugs is all tyrannical.

It’s time that Big Pharma comes up with sincere approach to reduce the prices of medicines so that patients can afford it and make a difference in their lives.
