Vicious Hatred and Battered Humanity

What a semblance of human life when we give worth to worldly wealth, cherish temporal comforts and churn hatred in our hearts out of jealousy or trivial differences.

We detest a person because of our insensible dislikes; we turn our families into divisions because of insolence and malice; we fall into nasty schisms and quarrels because of racist communities; and, history itself is full of chronicles that speak how ruthless nations, with their politics of gross errors, massive manipulations and diabolic affairs waged wars to massacre human lives.

Ah, when we treat each other courteously, we grow in love; when we dispel our divergences, our families enjoy in unison; when we shun racial conflicts, we know each other better; and when all nations begin to learn the language of humanity, then this little world can become a harmonious global village. Isn’t that so simple?

Verily, children in their prime childhood live up with their own innocence and playfulness. But, when they become grown-ups and mature, they begin to weigh up their silly disparities, gauge their weird wits and expose their enmities.

Alas! What a show of hostility among people, which breeds the invisible dangerous blows. Perhaps, it's jealousy that provokes others by thoughts, motives and deeds to attack themselves. Why?

Because oftentimes when one’s happiness becomes hurdle in others’ sight, then there’s envy that sickens human hearts. And those who are arrogant by their behaviours are, in fact, more laced with baseless disgust in their hearts that like parasites attack inward conscience and souls, and there’s all a show of each active evil by the conjuring jealousy of sight.

What’s the use of that wealthy life that discards family ties? It is an acerbic agony for those poor parents who have to witness their own children all aloof, dispersed and spiteful with their nonsensical preferences and mean hatred.

I remember an old lady, mother of three grown up sons and three daughters. All married, well settled. But, in the dusk of her age, she suffered a lot seeing her three sons and their wives in disputes to have share in the property. Finally, in haste, the old house was sold and the money was all divided. After that, the old mother started living at one of her daughters’ house and her three sons dispersed in resentment.

Well, even diverse communities that set up barriers of hostility on the basis of race, religion, colour and nationality become disparaging. Ugh...racism stinks, and with discrimination there’s only dislike and rejection stemming from thoughts of racial dominance.

Indeed, a just atmosphere where there’s sense of fidelity and respect for others within a society nurtures humanity and harmony. Without this, our little world will become a legion of bullying people.

And, we have to agree that the horror of war is always disheartening, gloomy and painful! Oftentimes, the world news overwhelms us and we witness catastrophes of varying levels everywhere.

Ah, if this world is taken as one single nation, then we as the citizens are just crippled and left to face humanity’s doom. Sadly, there’s human misery everywhere.
