When Colleagues Become Jealous of You
Sometimes, it's hard to depict what your office colleagues harbor in their hearts. Good intentions or malice? Some people, by their nature and habits, are jealous of others and some people deliberately betray others.
At workplaces, when duties and tasks are accomplished or when there's nothing much to do, then employees enjoy their liberties either with vain gossips or hooking their attention on their smartphones. Some even interrupt others' work by loitering here and there and sharing tidbits of rumors or disclosing others' talks and tales.
Well, if any employee works hard, enthusiastically and honestly, and yet, in spare time, does something creative and worthwhile without leaving the office, then others find it strange. Some even feel inquisitive to know what others are doing by stooping and peeping their computer screens or putting forth indirect questions to squeeze some information.
In some companies, where jealousy and hatred prevail, then anyone who does something good for beneficial changes becomes an obstacle. What it means when one who tries to put extra commitments at work is ill-treated? It becomes hard for good people to tolerate others' bullying attitude or insulting comments. In such scenarios, it's better to practice patience rather than getting depressed by others' sarcastic remarks.
A company may be profitable, but without a competitive and cordial culture, it cannot become progressive. When employees lack elegant etiquette, then bad behavior, troublesome taunting and frequent backbiting become normal and uncontrolled.
Oftentimes, people, with dislike and envy, tend to begin conversations without proper greetings and fidelity. With their sly talks and shadowy movements, one can easily realize their sick motives.
For sure, good manners and simple courtesies count. A company, with rank culture and workforce civility, can foster a contributing, inspiring atmosphere.
Indeed, with good character and integrity, we can nurture relationships with our colleagues and work collaboratively. In truth, goodness breeds goodness. Interesting, isn't that?
