**Strategy Manager, Aluminium

The Strategy Manager is fully responsible for:

  • Owning strategy definition, refresh and alignment across the component parts of Ma'aden Aluminium (SBU and affiliates)
  • Implementing that strategy by:
  • Providing leverage / support to affiliates to build out what the strategy means for them
  • Enabling the SBU to deliver growth within it's span of control
  • Providing mitigating solutions in case the strategy implementation is not on track
  • Monitoring strategy delivery, acting as the "guiding mind" across the SBU and affiliates to steer the activity and offer visibility to management on which elements have been well / not well accepted by the business Reviewing and refining the operating model requirements, in line with defined objectives

Description

Fully responsible for owning strategy definition, refresh and alignment across the component parts of Ma'aden Aluminium (SBU and affiliates)

  • Initial definition of Aluminium vision and strategy, alongside senior SBU and wider firm leadership (including CSD teams)
  • Regular refresh of strategy via annual refresh process, in coordination with CSD teams:
  • Collect inputs to strategy from across SBU and affiliate teams (e.g. sales performance, market trends,)
  • Consolidate all inputs and compare them with the current strategy
  • Propose an updated strategic plan for the next year / 5 years / 20 years
  • Set up a list of recommendation and discuss it with SBU Management
  • Once approved, communicate the refined strategy to the SBU / JV / Management

Fully responsible for implementing the strategy across the SBU and Ma'aden Aluminium affiliates

  • Align with Sales Teams, Planning & Logistics on the main strategic directions for the year to come
  • Define a list of KPIs to be followed for each team Set up a detailed action plan for each team depending on the priorities
**QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: - Degree in Material Science, Geology, Geophysics, Business or Economics.

  • 10+ years' experience in Strategy, business/planning ideally either in the global Aluminium industry, or in another part of Ma'aden
  • Some industrial management experience required
  • Fluent in English
