We are currently recruiting for long term supply chain professionals, with an initial assignment supporting Infrastructure project proposal, FEED, and execution efforts in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Position Summary

Bechtel is looking for a Contracts Manager to be based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

The Contracts Manager manages and performs all activities associated with formation, tendering, award and administration of contract packages

:


Activities may include working on own to delivery critical items required from contract formation through administration and closeout with accountability for work product to project milestones, quality and safety. The Contracts Manager reports directly to the Senior Contract Manager or Supply Chain Manager and receives functional guidance from the Manager of Contracts and Procurement

Job Dimensions


Supports proposal teams in defining and developing the scope of Procurement and Contracts work, and in preparing Procurement & Contracts plans, procedures, schedules, estimates, forecasts, and budgets.

Accountable for work product to project milestones, quality and safety standards.

Supports the Supply Chain Manager and legal group with developing the terms and conditions for use on proposal contract and purchase documents, ensuring that applicable prime contract requirements are incorporated.

Delivers Procurement & Contracts presentations to project and/or management personnel. Drives the development of the supply chain portion of the project execution plan, supply chain assignment schedule.

Coordinates Procurement & Contracting plans with Engineering and Construction plans and Project Management to ensure that input from these functional groups will enable Procurement & Contracts to perform its operations in accordance with proposal estimating plans.

Reviews commitment recommendations in accordance with Procurement & Contracts policies and procedures, and (where applicable) approving those within delegated authority.

Ensures relevant recommendations receive required global business unit reviews and approvals.


Skills

:


  • Demonstrated experience and courses in pricing, contract law, contract drafting, administration and negotiation of change orders, effective correspondence, planning and scheduling
  • Thorough knowledge of (sub)contract and purchase order administration, home office and field procedures and documents relating to a multidiscipline construction project
  • Working knowledge of engineering/construction industry contracting, purchasing, and material management practices, applicable government and commercial regulations and practices, and Bechtel policies, procedures and work practices
  • Possesses experience and knowledge of commercial management functions and work experience of a progressively responsible nature

Qualifications

  • Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Quantity Surveying, Law, Engineering, Construction Management or Cost Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Grade 26: Minimum of 8+ years of experience in contract formation and/or administration and/or purchasing of a medium to large sc
