Abed Serhan

Utilizing my passion for teaching and leading, along with my clinical background, nursing education experience, and my current enrollment in the MBA program, seeking a management position to provide quality care in all aspects of healthcare delivery systems. 

I started a long time ago as a practical nurse first, then as a registered nurse, and lastly nursing educator across different countries and employers. I am climbing the career ladder through hard work, integrity, perseverance, and intelligence. I learn new skills quickly. I possess extraordinary interpersonal skills and am passionate about producing results. I am committed and dedicated to improving nursing education and nursing practice at my previous and current employers. I deliver nursing continuing professional development activities and onboarding and orientation programs, validate staff competency, monitor practices, mentor and coach new and current staff, devise and revise policies, conduct clinical rounds, and puts the client’s needs first. I worked on multiple ongoing projects including the optimization of the electronic medical record which received HIMSS accreditation. I excelled during our recent accreditation site visit by the American Nurses Credentialing Center for our Center of Excellence for Continuing Nursing Education.  I am a clinician, educator, facilitator of learning, leader, change agent, team player, and partner of practice transition.
