Major roles/responsibilities:

• Use of codes & standards (e.g., ASHRAE, AMCA, EUROVENT, SMACNA, SASO, NFPA, ASME, ASTM, ANSI, IEC, NEC, IEEE, UL, BS, NEMA) during sample selection, equipment selection, designing, installation, testing & commissioning with safety regulations and industry best practices.
• Use of software and tools such as AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM, DIALux, Carrier HAP - Hourly Analysis Program) for the calculation of MEP systems including, Electrical loads, Voltage drop and Short circuit studies, Heating/Cooling load calculation, Air flow, Ventilation, Duct sizing, Duct pressure loss, Heat loss, Equipment sizing, Drainage flow rate and Water supply flow rate to determine system requirements and ensure optimal performance.

 

• Regular quality assured inspections to assess the quality of the installations including routing, supports, alignment, connection of pipes, conduit, duct, cables, equipment and fixtures. 
• Preparation and submission of technical documentation including Work Orders (WO), Letters, material submittals, shop drawing submittals, Work Inspection requests, Work notification, Material inspection request, quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC), Quantity survey (QS), Interim Payment (IP), Change order / variation order (VO), revised BoQ, Technical queries (TQ) and Work schedules. In addition, complying to the remarks and closing the Non-Conformance-Report (NCR) and Work Instructions (WI). Further, review of method statements and prequalification from the supplier subject to approval/revision/rejection.
• Preparation of professional reports and graphs including project planning, project schedule, Risk assessment, budgeting and cost control sheets, cashflow chart, tasks monitoring, resource allocation, Manpower / equipment estimation chart, Quality assurance list & coordination with the consultant & client to ensure successful project delivery before the deadline with the help of using various software and tools such as Primavera, MS Project, MS Office, MS, Excel, MS Power Point, MS Notes, MS Access.
• Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, subcontractors and engineers to ensure seamless integration and successful project outcomes.
• Testing and commissioning of multiple MEP systems including AHUs, VAVs, Thermostats and EXFs, Refrigerant copper piping system, electrical and mechanical testing of Elevators, insulation resistance test of cables and wiring, polarity of wiring devices, Earth resistance, transformers, dielectric test, Hydrostatic and pneumatic testing of pipeline.
