Having more than 20 years of professional experience at international organizations, including more than a decade of senior management and corporate strategy responsibilities across North America and the Middle East, I believe that this role would be perfect for me.
As you will see from the attached resume, I graduated in 1991 with a BS in Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Management from the Golden Gate University in San Francisco and joined PepsiCo – TacoBell where I was wearing many hats and handling several functions simultaneously, including store training management, team unit management, and event coordination. This experience allowed me to grasp the fundamentals of the Food industry and developed my creativity skills, as I had to initiate and execute campaigns and collaborate with leading brands such as Columbia Pictures. Following this, I took on a District Leader role at Blockbuster Inc. and was chosen as Innovative Transformational Leader for a change agent program with KPMG. This program was truly a great learning experience for me as I not only had to learn superior skills in innovation and cultural change, but also training fellow leaders on the program in order for them to transfer the knowledge and change strategy to their teams across various states.
In 2007, I joined Qzina Specialty Foods Inc. in California as a Regional General Manager and managed a $38 million business, from strategic planning and organizational development, to sales team coaching and operational excellence supervision. This C-level role offered me the opportunity to lead and manage the full company cycle, and develop my expertise in general management skills across all corporate departments: Business Development, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Human Resources, and Financial Planning.
In 2012, I decided to move to Saudi Arabia and head the supply chain and quality department of a huge group, the Mawarid Group, particularly three of its sub-companies that generated $120 million in revenues. Working at a very large scale and leading a team of a over a hundred employees was incredibly rewarding. In fact, the challenges and obstacles that we had to overcome transformed me into a resilient leader that is highly capable of building trust with his team and mentoring others to cope with changes, drive innovation, and achieve outstanding results.
Finally in 2021, I decided to join a small restaurant company as the COO for 26 restaurants and head the operation, supply chain, excellence, and maintenance department, were I revamped and created some of these departments.
On a personal side, I enjoy reading, researching, traveling, cooking and learning new things. In fact, I believe that learning is growth, and one must never stop learning in order to keep thriving, particularly during this era of fast pace lifestyles and quick technological changes.
