Aggreko has an exciting opportunity for a Regional Procurement Specialist to join our team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.You will be a key member of the team delivering temporary power solutions to Aggreko's customers by providing operational support for critical projects and working with the category management team and regional business leadership to develop and delivery discrete sourcing projects to execute the regional category strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- To provide regional and market insight, in conjunction with procurement levers, to support the development of category plans as well as interpreting spend analytics for key categories.
- To provide operational support to the category management team throughout the end to end procurement process, taking responsibilities for the development and delivery of discrete sourcing projects.
- Assist with commercial preparation and development of contracts where required, incl. contract negotiations, KPI development, performance milestones and commercial terms and conditions
- Source goods that are nonstrategic and above spend threshold including supplier identification, product identification and costs, in line with procurement strategies and sourcing policies as directed by the Regional Procurement Manager.
- Provide in country procurement support for key projects as directed by the Regional Procurement Manager, in line with the procurement policy and spend thresholds.
- Support the proactive review, renewal and monitoring for all contracts, and assist procurement with category strategies.
- Collaborate with category management and business units to maintain and manage regional supplier relationships incl. through performance evaluation and continuous improvement initiatives
- Work with the Process and Policy team to support the implementation of continuous improvement programmes both internally and externally.
- Analyse business trends in terms of requested goods and identify potential opportunities to improve purchasing practices and reduce transactional load.
- Working with the BPO/ category management to support comms to vendors for setup and where an escalation/ nonstandard query has been raised for the region e.g. shipping discrepancy or dispute to support assurance of on time delivery of requisitioned goods and services in the manner, quantity and quality as specified.
Typical Skills & Experience:
- Experience within a Procurement environment.
- Sound knowledge of legal requirements applied to contract development.
- Basic supplier contract terms knowledge (i.e. payment terms, guarantees, insurances, liabilities etc.)
- Knowledge of sourcetopay processes including Sourcing, Contracting and Supplier Management. As well as a basic understanding of P2P processes to support handoffs to BPO.
- Sound communication, influencing and networking skills.
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
