    EBC isactively seeking Field Engineers for our Ontario division wherehe/she can utilize their extensive knowledge to contribute to thecontinued success and growth of the organization. The successfulcandidate will be available for project locations within Ontario,with the possibility of work locations Canada-wide. The FieldEngineer will be responsible for planning, developing, and managingthe project for construction. This position reports to the ProjectEngineer/ProjectCoordinator.

    Underthe direction of the Project Engineer/Project Coordinator, theField Engineer is responsible for commencing all internalconstruction engineering and construction work preparationincluding construction planning, procurement, and documentpreparation. Liaison between management and construction as well asattending progress meetings with other parties and coordination ofsubcontractors in the execution phase of constructionprojects.



    EssentialDuties and ResponsibilitiesInclude:


    Analysisof drawings for work preparation and constructionplanning.

    Furtherdetailing of engineering and design for constructionpurposes.

    Pre-planningand resourceforecasting.

    Performancemanagement ofsubcontractors.

    Planningof surface construction activities in coordination withconstruction and project managementteam.

    Coordinationand preparation of project related documents andsubmittals.

    Coordinationwith design subcontractors and ownerrepresentatives.

    Developmentof innovative technical solutions. Comply with applicableregulations and safety policies andprocedures.

    Producedetailed method statements and job safety hazardanalysis.

    Produceas-builddrawings.

    Activelytake part in the quality control processes, QA testing anddocumentation.

    Assistother departments as directed by the ProjectEngineer.

    Assistthe Superintendent in promoting communication throughout theprojectteam.

    PromoteEBC to all associated with the project by demonstratingprofessional skill and a high standard of fairness andintegrity.

    Requirements

    • Bachelors Degree or College Diploma in CivilEngineering.
    • Sewer/Infrastructure/Tunnel/DamConstruction experience is considered anasset.
    • Bilingualism- French/English - is considered anasset.
    • Mustbe able to work in a fastpacedenvironment.
    • Excellentorganizational and planningskills.
    • Attentiontodetail.
    • Excellentwritten and verbal communicationskills.
    • Indepth knowledge of reinforced concrete structures, sewer works andtunneling.
    • Self-Motivatedandflexible.
    • Abilitytomulti-task.
    • Familiarwith local codes andregulations.
    • Designrelated software skills(AutoCAD).
    • Schedulingsoftware skills would be an asset (Primavera, MSProject).
    • Mustbe willing to work on various project sites within the province ofOntario.

    Bachelor s Degree or College Diploma in Civil Engineering.Sewer/Infrastructure/Tunnel/Dam Construction experience isconsidered an asset. Bilingualism - French/English - is consideredan asset. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.Excellent organizational and planning skills. Attention to detail.Excellent written and verbal communication skills. In depthknowledge of reinforced concrete structures, sewer works andtunneling. Self-Motivated and flexible. Ability to multi-task.Familiar with local codes and regulations. Design related softwareskills (AutoCAD). Scheduling software skills would be an asset(Primavera, MS Project). Must be willing to work on various projectsites within the province of Ontario.
