Our Environmental Services Group (ESG) provides our clients with expertise in climate change, environmental assessment & management, noise & vibration, social impact management, sustainable development design, and water resources.

Purpose of the position is to plan and obtain all permits required by the company.

The role is also responsible for dealing with all external stakeholders including, but not limited to, the utility companies, Plaschem Park management company, neighboring companies, local communities, etc.


The key dimensions of the role are:

  • Organizes many tasks to complete in a short period of time including scheduling inspections, keeping tract of paperwork, and ensuring that all necessary documents are filed correctly and timely.
  • Plans and manages time well without missing any deadlines.
  • Leads people from the company and contractors while motivating self and others to achieve shared goals.

Main Job responsibilities

Functional:

  • Visible HSE Leadership
  • Accountable for all external interfaces/relationships with governments, industry, local authorities/institutions, community stakeholders, and leads integrated functional delivery for Company's establishment and projects in KSA
  • Builds strategic and longterm relationship of trust with the aforementioned stakeholders for advancement of Company's business and project objectives
  • Identifies, assesses, and manages social, reputational, and political opportunities and risks related to Company's strategic ambitions from the early stage
  • Ensure effective internal communications and engagement to rive internal alignment with different workstream and projects.

Project:

  • Ensuring that all permits are issued in a timely manner while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Coordinating with contractors to ensure that permits are issued in a timely fashion
  • Coordinating with contractors, architects, engineers, subcontractors, inspectors, and other relevant parties throughout the permitting process
  • Ensuring that all permits are issued in accordance with local, state, and federal laws
  • Providing information about the permitting process to clients, such as contractors or homeowners who are seeking permits for construction process.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree
  • Fluent in Arabic and English (reading, writing, and speaking)
  • Possess sound knowledge of all permits, and consents required to be obtained for a new industrial facility in KSA
  • Proven experience in dealing with permits and external engagements
  • Have good knowledge of industrial landscape and local communities of KSA, particularly those of Jubail area
  • Have excellent communication, influencing and presentation skills
  • Able to analyze issues and generate alternative solutions to circumvent bottlenecks and delays
  • Demonstrated experience in complex stakeholder management at various levels of government, industry in KSA
  • Leads by example with a deep person commitment to always do the right things
  • Extensive experience in a mix of government, corporate communications, business, and public affairs/strategic communications
  • Experience in Issues Management and Crisis Management related to permitting and external relation.
