Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated, organized and deadline-driven Saudi national to join our dynamic events company in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as a Corporate & Media Relations Manager.
This role primarily focuses on collaborating with dmg events partners, alongside handling media and communications to amplify and enhance the dmg events brand presence in Saudi Arabia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accompany, and eventually deputize for, the Country Manager on meetings with key partner stakeholders
- Coordinate with partner communications departments to promptly execute agreedupon deliverables and gain necessary approvals for press releases to generate exposure in relevant media channels
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key media contacts in Saudi Arabia, including journalists and editors
- Pitch stories to the media, manage media inquiries and interviews and prepare briefing notes
- Prepare media packs for key media at our events with information and access to participants that will entice them to the event and give us coverage
- Monitor media coverage of the company, providing regular reports on the impact and effectiveness of communications activities
- Maintain an uptodate partner database, monitoring activities and sharing back to the business
- Circulate a monthly newsletter to the leadership team about industry and competitor news relevant to the business, big wins incountry and general updates from the Saudi team
- Ensure all communications materials adhere to the company's brand guidelines, tone of voice and are translated to Arabic
- Analyze competitor activities in Saudi Arabia and report findings
- Plan and execute media and government events, press conferences and other related activities
- Work closely with event marketing teams to share corporate content across their social media channels and other communications platforms
- Collaborate with the corporate marketing team to ensure the dmg event brand is prominently displayed at Saudi events through signage, exclusive government events, marketing materials, and more
- Recommend ways to enhance the image of dmg events based on industry trends and country nuances.
Requirements:
- Saudi national with 5+ years of experience in corporate relations, with direct experience in working with government communications departments and key media
- Proven track record of managing media and PR activities successfully
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment
- Proficiency in working under tight deadlines and prioritizing tasks effectively
- Excellent relationshipbuilding skills with media and government media departments
- Indepth knowledge of the Saudi Arabian media landscape and media regulations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and media monitoring tools
