1.Job Summary

  • Working for a leading Technology company in KSA

2. Key Responsibilities

  • Meet with Application owners to Analyse the requirement and propose the technologies to be used in the Application stack as per the Business requirements.
  • Configure and Maintain Devops & Middleware Technologies in Dev, Test, Stage and Production Environments.
  • Devops Technologies include OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, Bamboo, Jenkins, Harbor.
  • Creating, updating, and deleting clusters, adding or removing nodes in Kubernetes for all the Environments via Kubectl.
  • Configuring Autoscaling and selfhealing and Load balancing for Kubernetes cluster as per the requirement.
- controlling who can access the cluster using Identity and Access Management (IAM) for Kubernetes and providing only necessary access to Stake holders.

  • Middleware Technologies Include Jboss EAP7, WebLogic 12c, Websphere 8.5.5, Wildfly, Apache Tomcat, RabbitMQ, NodeJS, PM2, Apache HTTP Servers.
  • Configure and maintain log Monitoring Solutions like Greylog, Graphana Loki, ELK and Monitor the Application logs.
  • Configure JMS Like RabbitMQ, JbossMQ and creating synchronized Clustering RabbitMQ for High Availability.
  • Upgrade RabbitMQ and related packages to bring them to latest LTS versions.
  • Upgrading JAVA, Jboss EAP/Wildfly, NodeJs, WebLogic and other Middleware technologies.
  • Patching Critical vulnerabilities in WebLogic, Jboss to mitigate the same once the patches are released as per the Product vendor.
  • Interact with vendors regarding pending SR and Licensing to sort them out and to optimise the usage.
  • Configure and manage PM2 to run NodeJs apps in Cluster mode for High Availability.
  • Implement TLS1.2, configure security cyphers in LB's like F5, Netscalar and in all App Servers and webservers.
  • Use password vault to Encrypt the passwords in the configuration files through keystore and use the encrypted strings in configuration files.
  • Implement Continuous Delivery on Premise with Bamboo and Jenkins in both at server level and containerized environments.
  • Configuring and setup cloud environments from scratch, like VPC, EC2, ELB, Security Group, Autoscale Group, ALB, Code Pipeline, S3, Route 53 etc.
  • Control the access of the Applications through whitelisting the subnets in webservers like Apache.
  • Configure proxy and reverse proxy, mod_cluster and configure plugin from Web to App Servers.
  • Configure virtual hosts, redirections, compression rules and Virtual host logging in HTTP servers.
  • Creating and tuning XA and Non-XA Datasource and should be able to add drives as modules in Application servers like Jboss EAP, WebLogic etc.
  • Doing RHEL administration and should be able to handle the Linux Infrastructure basic L2 tasks Independently.
  • Configure and maintain OS firewall, WAF in LB like F5 and Netscalar whenever needed.
  • Cofigure NFS servers and Mount NfS shares in servers as per the requirement of the Applications to store the data.
  • Good with Load balancers like Netscalar, F5 and Opensource load balancers like Zevenet LB.
  • Working with APM tools like Glowroot, AppInternals or AppDynamics to Analyse the Performance and resolve the bottlenecks.
  • Taking and analysing JAVA Thread Dumps and Heap Dumps and update developers regarding the deadlocks or memory leaks to be resolved by developers.
  • Hardening the Application and webservers used to run Applications and upgrade them whenever necessary.
  • Identify vulnerabilities in SSL versions, ciphers and configure the recommended as per the browser and LB compatibility.
  • Automate tasks that are repetitive and maintain the cronjobs whenever needed.
  • Working knowledge on clouds like AWS, Azure and maintain the environment in them.
