    Role Purpose

    • The Project Manager, Construction is responsible for planning, developing and executing the construction of real estate assets. The Project Manager is responsible for managing the full project lifecycle from inception to tender, construction and handover, ensuring a safe execution within time, budget and scope.

    • Take the lead on cross-disciplinary project teams of internal and external stakeholders.
    • Manage the full construction project lifecycle from inception to handover.
    • Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
    • Identify land site data to ensure coherence towards project design requirements.
    • Lead design stages to ensure relevant stakeholder input.
    • Prepare tendering for design & build - and general contracts.
    • Engage/advise on technical clarifications towards design, operators, tenants, authorities, and suppliers.
    • Ensure timely completion of construction projects in accordance with agreed scope.
    • Manage construction project budgets, monitor expenses, and identify cost savings opportunities.
    • Cooperate with department team members to optimize internal processes and workflows.
    • Promote and enforce a culture of safety on construction sites, ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
    • Ensure compliance with local regulations in relation to work force, standards and building codes.
    • Integrate sustainable practices into construction projects aligning with the assigned programs commitment to environmental responsibility.
    • Implement initiatives that reduce carbon footprint and enhance resource efficiency.
    • Identify and mitigate construction project risks.

    Background, Skills & Qualifications

    Knowledge, Skills and Experience

    • Knowledge of property development from A to Z, including procurement experience.
    • Proven track record of leading successful construction projects and initiatives.
    • Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, execute, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Cultural understanding coupled with excellent interpersonal and communication skills towards stakeholders from various geographical, cultural and professional backgrounds.
    • Strategic thinking and problem-solving aptitude to address complex challenges.
    • Familiarity with sustainability initiatives and their application in logistics.
    • Experience in budget management, cost control and value engineering.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering.
    • Minimum 10 years of postgraduate experience of which a minimum of 5 years with project/contract/procurement management experience at an established general contractor, consultancy, or developer within commercial construction.
